The problem, however, is that Trump's not a diplomat and likely won't be able to handle the situation diplomatically.

I actually think he's extremely calculated and that people severely underestimate his intelligence. What people see as moronic is entirely intentional. No matter what anyone thinks, the Government here is setting us up to not care about anything while they quietly destroy the entire world. In a decade, none of this will even matter. This planet is fucked. It's not just this administration either, that's what no one seems to get. They've been dooming us all for over a hundred years.

No. He's an idiot. It's because that's the ONLY THING he said about it. Nothing about how the Saud royal family just ordered the killing of an American. And definitely nothing about how it was because the journalist was tortured first THEN killed. And nothing about why the reason they decided to kill him was because he was a journalist who was critical of the person who ordered his killing.
