just played the once a month thing again. yep. Deluge as a controller is suchhhhh a better way to go. fucked up a few times and something i had patched at home sounded WAY different here, but the fuckups were fixable. don't think they were noticed.

Did another set on Friday with the euro and the Lyra. Levels were a little messy but it's still fairly listen-able...if you like drone that is.

woot! will listen when i can get to the computer. i have to check the recording i did last night. think the BIA was way too loud for a bit, but was a fun set. usually there's like an hour to setup, and this time it was a smaller room so about 15 minutes setup. which is usually fine, but it's my first time using the Deluge and Lyra out, so setup took longer.

annnnnnd fucking Taqo (Taqo.Audio on IG). i LOVE his stuff, he's a super nice guy, mad fun to talk to. knows THINGS. but watching him use a Lyra convinced me i wanted to grab one. then last night he was destroying a Stargazer.

...... ordered one mid-set.

That will probably be Clouds II, but could possibly be the entity bass drum.

The consumerism aspect of euro is exhausting to me, I'm looking forward to meeting this goal.
i hear u man just messin'

lol. wanted it tighter with quicker changes between parts, but decent for the first time using the Deluge out. and i had a bunch of ideas i wanted to try to write and just didna have the time.

shits sounds so much FULLER and ANGRY through big ass speakers with natural room reverbations.

but. was fun.

Well, I tried to order from Control but I waited too long and the coupon didn't work even though it was still Labor Day. Oh well.

I ended up ordering from the  known as Perfect Circuit so hopefully everything gets here relatively soon LOL.

Taking my rack in a different direction. Much more percussion based. Tempi (new) + Trigger Riot (new) + Metropolis (old) are going to become the new brains of the operation. Gonna shift most of my Mannequins stuff to a skiff. Getting some Erika Pico + WMD shits to add more variety/texture to the drums.

I really wanted to give the FLXS1 a shot but I think the 1-knob programming would just remind me of the Eloquencer, which makes me think about what Ableton would've been like if it existed in the early 90's.

Please god let this become a happy rack.

Hovered over the Korg Prologue 16 for $1299 deal quite a few times.
Given my experience with synths and what I'm supposed to be saving up for...it's insane that I even considered it for a minute.

also, EOWave did a IG story that said they "released 21 QS into the wild!", which. AWESOME. hope mine ships soon. they SAID they would get all KS backet Swarms out this week.

i get KS takes longer some times, but the lack of communication has been mad annoying. i've messaged like 10 times to IG or their email or through the KS. don't even know if they have my shipping address.

and it's..... WEIRD to do updates on IG stories. those go away after a day. IG is an odd choice, at least do it as a post so it's archived.

This is great news! I'll still be really surprised if I get tracking by the end of the week, but it looks like it's finally happening!

I'm having so much trouble syncing with my Pamela's New Workout Idk what to replace it with. At this point I might just say fuck it and get another basic clock divider and drive it all via MIDI clock from Ableton, but I want it to be able to stand on its own as well. Maybe something like TEMPI, but I have to do more research on that one. For whatever reason, PNW never starts my other sequencers on time. Metropolis always starts a beat or two late. My BSP never starts or stops with it correctly.

For sequencing I'm leaning towards a Trigger Riot for the percussion, but I'm not sure what I want to do for the voices. I could give the Eloquencer another go (it's currently un-racked) but it's such a slog to program. Maybe after updating the firmware it'll be less of a slog, but it still lacks the immediacy and improvisation a Metropolis invites. The only problem with Metropolis is the lack of steps and tracks.
It looks like you have already settled on a new direction but I was curious what your Pam’s usage looks like? Do you have it as master or as a slave/redistributor?

Also I found the Eloquencer very easy to get along with but went with the more ambitious and weird (to me) NerdSeq, which is definitely less immediate at first, but once you get rolling it has some great performance options.

Delta scooped me on a used SSP and got his before my ‘August Batch’ preorder has even shipped. It’s September Bert! SeptemBert! Also I saw Ruiner flipped his. I could have sniped two by now. Only reason I preordered was I convinced myself the second hand market would be scarce!
