i had one, haaaaaaated it. but it's designed like.... the exact opposite of how i would like a module to work. so. i am VERY not the target audience.

It looks like you have already settled on a new direction but I was curious what your Pam’s usage looks like? Do you have it as master or as a slave/redistributor?
Also I found the Eloquencer very easy to get along with but went with the more ambitious and weird (to me) NerdSeq, which is definitely less immediate at first, but once you get rolling it has some great performance options.
Delta scooped me on a used SSP and got his before my ‘August Batch’ preorder has even shipped. It’s September Bert! SeptemBert! Also I saw Ruiner flipped his. I could have sniped two by now. Only reason I preordered was I convinced myself the second hand market would be scarce!
My main Pam's usage was as a master clock. When I got the Intellijel cases in I tried using it as a slave clock with 1U uMIDI but in both scenarios it had difficulty starting the sequencers on time. They would all reset correctly (I had the first output dedicated to resetting the other modules) but there would be this strange delay where the clocks of the sequencers would almost "freeze" in place for a beat, then continue as if nothing happened. When I used Pam's as the solo clock it still occurred but it wasn't as noticeable because I wasn't trying to sync it with the sequences running in the DAW. I've always been intrigued by Tempi so I hope it is solid for clock distribution.
I watched some NerdSeq and I liked many of the performance concepts available but similarly to the Eloquencer, I start to think "why don't I just do this in Ableton and send it through Yarns?" Of course only 4 outs but you get what I mean. Immediacy is a big thing for me with regards to eurorack because I start to think I'm wasting my time and money on something which isn't worth it.
Honestly if this wave of modules I bought this week doesn't really sway me I might just sell all of my modules, except for a handful which will be relegated to being a faux-desktop synth.

It might be the least used module in my rack, currently. I loved what it was trying to do from a conceptual standpoint. However, execution leaves a lot to be desired.
First of all, although the size drew me in originally, it's simply too small. I like the simplicity of the design and how it can fit basically anywhere in the rack to fill space - but it has too few buttons, and far too many combinations to remember. Maybe if I had a micro-rack and needed a sampler, I'd throw it in, but it is almost useless with how complicated it can be.
Maybe the biggest problem is the fact that sometimes you can't tell whether you've made a mistake, the module is glitching out, or you started the tutorial again. The Muffwiggler thread on it is full of users who have given up on the module for this reason. There's a beta which was supposed to fix many issues but hasn't fixed all of the *known* issues, and I don't think there's an official "firmware update".
I don't mean to sling that haterade but it's a shame because when I got the sampling and looping to work, it was awesome. The way the speed up/slow down/scrolling through the tape worked felt "correct" and I'd love to find another module which has that same kind of design, but the execution of this particular model leaves a lot to be desired.
It's only in my rack right now because the Mannequins stuff looks nice next to each other and there was room, although pretty soon most of them will be in a separate skiff anyway.

That's definitely what I was looking to hear regarding the W/ as my biggest worries for it are how it actually functions with such a weird and small interface. I'm not a huge fan of having to remember a bunch of different button combos so it might not actually be for me

lol. no. if you don't want to remember a billion button combinations in a 2 hp space then you don't want it.
also, Mux is funnnnnnnn. only played a bit, and only as a CV sequencer, but that's mainly what i want it for. a micro, weirder Metropolis. can't wait to explore the switching part of it.
quick jammy jam -

going into a 2hp Trim then uo_C for quantizing, controlling a Plaits into Mum M8.
the really fun thing (thanks DivKidder for the idea) is having a random or LFO controlling the gate repeats, then patching one of the gate steps back on to itself for the pattern reset.
that's why this goes from a 5 step pattern to a completely random length. it's playing through the sequence with 0-8+ repeats per step, and the reset is triggered when gate 5 sends. but gate 5 gets skipped occasionally so it opens it up to I DUNNO lengths.

Maybe the upcoming 2hp Play could fill that space?

I'll have to look into that. I was also thinking of a 2hp Div. Not at all as exciting, but it would be rather useful in my system.

I might be wrong, but I did some quick searching and it looks like a simple sample playback module. Kinda like the Radio Music or TipTop One.

interessssstinnnnnng. not really something i need, but INTERESTING.
murf. i can not WAIT till my new case gets here. it's my fault, badgering him into doing slidey nuts added a couple weeks to the build time, would already be en route. but supposed to ship early next week.
but i have been using just the modules i want to put in the 7u (except for the 1u and ER-301, which should ship in about 10 days, and the TSNM, which will hopefully be ret to go soon), and i'm loving it. but with a more Performance Oriented Setup, i might finally like having a Freez. but need have everything setup, play for a week or so, see where i'm at.
see if the hypothetical successfully intersects the actual?

Here's the plan for Saturday's big revamp:
Bottom row is all sequencing and modifying the sequencers.
Next row is clocks, envelopes, and LFO's with Harmonaig for chord generation.
Next row is drums on one side, then voices + filters on the other.
Top row is mostly effects and VCA's.
Oddly enough I think I'm most excited about Morgasmatron coming in.
Also IDK what it is with modules but why can't designers think more logically about their faceplate designs? I hate putting modules that have all the jacks on the bottom anywhere but the top row but sometimes it doesn't make sense for the setup. I know guitar pedals still have this problem (top vs. side jacks) but some of these shits have jacks all over the damn place. Makes turning knobs quite difficult without knocking something out IMO.

pretty suh!
yeah. i mean. IDEALLY everything would be available as Boobie Jacks or Ass Jack orientation. not very practical for the manufacturers, but. yeah. that would be NIFTY.
also, WOOT. Stargazer hits tomorrow, and found a gooood deal on a Kaoss Pad S Mini. DELICIOUS.

Aside from the utilitarian jacks-on-the-bottom approach it seems to me tha most module designers think about how their faceplates will fit within their own system. Having a large mixed system definitely doesn't accommodate that hypothesis. Make Noise & Mannequins especially
I put all my Mannequins in the top row of my case this week and it's very visually cohesive now. Not sure about the functional standpoint yet but we shall see.

finallllly got the survey from KS asking my shipping address, and FINALLY got a response to one of the like 20 messages i sent over all the contact platforms i could think of trying to get ahold of EOWave.
annnnnd it said, "US Quadrantid Swarms will ship next week.". it's not the "all KS QS's will ship this week!" they posted on IG, but.... it's..... something?

I'm starting to wonder if I ever filled one of those forms. Also, really hope that by US they mean North America

Damn, I might need to clear out some more room...
It has a very familiar sound and I like the onboard effects. Ironically I wish this had more CV inputs to modulate but I feel like it's a nice total drum package.
