In her defense this was right after Halo 2 had come out and well just don't setup a second TV in the living room during your first year of marriage.

On that note I am buying my 7 year old daughter a Wii U for her birthday. Mostly for the Minecraft, Smash Bros, Mario Maker junk. Does the Wii U have any decent adult-ish games?

Throwing someone else's property out of a 2nd story window is indefensibly selfish & immature :|:
"YOU ARE ENJOYING THIS THING I DONT LIKE TOO MUCH AND NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON BY ME RUINING IT"
Seriously wtf :wha?:

^ well we were young and you'd have to have known my wife at the time. Super hot punker chick who was/is just a little bat shit. I was realistically playing that game like 10 hours a day. Like a second job. The online multiplayer was rad at the time. Came home from work and there it was in the driveway. We still joke about it.

Yo Halo 2 multiplayer was tight as shit. Those were some of my best days, get home from school and just play that shit all night long.

I miss those days.

How is it? I want to buy it but sometimes nostalgia is better left in the past, and I don't want to ruin my memories of it when I played it on the Gamecube.

It's pretty good, though I wish that it didn't have black borders. If you have the PC version and a controller, i'd probably go that route.

WHAT ARE YOU BUUUYIN'? WHAT ARE YOU SELLIN'? HEHEHE, THAAANK YOU!

I wasn't big on RE4 personally. But I also think RE1+3 are better than RE2, so fuck me I guess. :idk:

RE1 was classic though, for doing what it did at the time. Those damn dogs jumping through the window get me every time. RE4 is notable for the evolution of the third person camera as well as fun inventory management and upgrade systems, influencing many games to follow. It also ditched the annoying ink ribbon saves. My only experience with RE3 was marathoning it in one evening with a friend that played it several times to tell me step by step where to go and what to do, so it was a fun experience though the game's story has become quite unmemorable other than running from the nemesis. RE5 was fun in coop if you could get over the implied/asserted racist notion of the white man killing the native savages and saving the day. I didn't enjoy RE2 or RE0, and haven't played RE6 (other than a demo) or any of the spinoff/handheld games.

Rocket League is broken since the Rumble mode update. Every match/mode is plagued with lag, frame drops, and momentary freezing. Hopefully (probably) just temporary. But I need my car soccer pandemonium fix.

Xbox is supposed to have a Club update soon. We need to setup an ILF club. I don't want to post my gamertag publicly anymore, but feel free to PM me.

Playing the free Overwatch weekend. It is fun at first. Lots of characters to choose from. But only 2 modes? Hmmm. I am surprised this game is as popular as it is.

I can see a depth in the strategy of mastering characters for certain modes and particular parts of a match. Last night I got worked by a certain character I wrote off as lame when I tried her. But the game isn't holding my interest after several hours of play. Not that other games like COD or Gears aren't repetitive at their core gameplay, but the modes offer some variety, whereas Overwatch variety comes in how you play certain characters. Not saying it isn't cool it is just not my thing. Really glad to have the experience though. EDIT #1: My experience might be different if I was rolling with a crew rather than flying solo. But I am a fucking loser with few friends who don't play games. EDIT #2: Jumping as a noob into an established multiplayer community is an uphill battle too, which certainly will color my experience

I mean, I feel like TF2 is a very love it or hate it type of deal. Personally I love it, the randomness of it makes for good late night runs when I've got nothing else going on. Or I'm a freak, idk (27+hours logged as the medic so far).

Got a Gamecube from a friend of mine yesterday + Smash Bros Melee. Last time I played it was before I knew about the competitive scene. That in mind, its like a whole new game for me. Still hella comfortable with the Ice Climbers, so Im gonna main them and work on my tech skill with Gannon as a secondary. Been good times.

Also had a gameboy player attached free of charge! :D

Does anyone have, and enjoy, the Vita? I'm looking into getting one for no other purpose than childhood nostalgia: FF7,8,9, Tactics, Castlevania SotN...and so on. Opinions? I've got a New 3ds, but obviously those titles aren't available.

i honestly think it's the best handheld console ever made. analog sticks aren't ideal for FPS kinda games etc, and the number of titles in the west isn't super impressive, but for the games you're talking about it'd be good.
all the PSX and PSP ports i've gotten off the online store have played really well but i haven't tried FF or Castlevania on it.

if you wanna save money though, i'd recommend getting a PSP (the later 3000 model is best imo).
super easy to jailbreak, you can get a memory card adapter for next to nothing and load up a micro sd with ISO's, it's awesome.
i have pretty much all the games you mentioned on mine and it works great. the analog stick on the PSP is absolute rubbish but for RPG's and stuff it's still great.

That's very encouraging. I love my 3ds, it's the Pokemon 20th anniversary edition, and I had the 3dsxl before that. It's great for pokemon, old mario and Zelda games, and I'm currently loving Fire Emblem. But much of my childhood was ps1, and those games are available in a handheld now, which I love.

There's a vita slim near me for $80, so I might just do that. I honestly have no idea what current games are available and kinda stumbled upon it looking for a way to play ff7. Everything else is frosting. Though, it will be exciting to play Crisis Core, because I never had the psp.
