But yes, choosing sucks. And I've never been a pc gamer and like most who are not, it confuses and scares me because I don't really understand it..I've always been a console guy. But they're getting so expensive and you really have to choose.
I would say get the PS4 anyway. Sony is kind of destroying Microsoft this gen (worldwide, 360/PS3 sales were close to even last gen but now Sony is almost doubling MS; the dualshock 4 is a better controller too).
If you were to build a gaming PC it would be super easy to make it a recording rig at the same time (i bought a gaming laptop specifically for recording and only used it for gaming as an afterthought).
It's kind of a gamble whether new FF titles will be cross-platform aside from FFXV, and PS4 prices are finally starting to dive with the new models being released, so it's not a bad idea even if you do get a computer.

I have both and honestly, unless you play forza, theres no reason to get an xbox one.

Yeah I plan to keep my 6 as a dedicated synth thing if everyone thinks headphone jacks are superfluous and discontinues them on phones from here on in.
IDIOTS.

I realized that I kind of want a WiiU at the end of it's life cycle, It surely has atleast 5 games worth playing by now.

Check Steam, Greenman, HumbleBundle.
Except if you live in Australia where it's still cheaper to buy from EB Games than it is at Steam. Then you also need to 10 disks to install the 50gb file size because your internet is super shitty.

Most of the Aussies I've dealt with online who do games use Steam for it and download regularly. Speed is ugly, but so it is in rural America too!

It's just that for mainly new release AAA titles it's often considerably cheaper to buy a physical copy for some stupid reason.
Not that they're any more worthwhile than digital copies; most stuff requires Steam activation and huge supplementary downloads anyway.
I kind of miss the days when you could actually 'lend' people PC games.

If you like Nintendo games, then it's worth it but they really never make it easy for third party developers to make stuff for their platforms, for some reason. The WiiU devkit is the most ass-backward piece of gear I ever had to work with. Compared to dev tools from Sony or MS it just feels like something from the previous century

. But yeah, their own games are usually really good so if you're happy with them then go for it, they're probably cheap as fuck these days.

Steam you don't buy from unless it's on sale.
Look at Green Man Gaming etc and other resellers that do keys.

Bayonetta 2 and Monster Hunter 3U were good too.

Yeah, I'm kind of excited about the Nintendo NX too. I'm not even sure what it is!

I wish Steam had an option to filter out all early access titles; I'm sick of cool looking games that may-or-may-not be finished in a few years. You can have my money when your product is complete, until then, don't bother me.

I just don't browse Steam looking for games, I use them to check pricing or look at something I've seen somewhere else (or saw a friend playing on their friends list).
I've bought a whopping one EA title since Steam started doing it, and got my $$ out of it but I'm still pissed at how the devs wrecked the game.
Ark: Survival Evolved, I'm looking at you.

Just got one for my daughter. First console in years. Maria Kart 8, Mario World 3D, and Smash Bros are pretty darn fun.

Yeah I'm thinking it's gonna be pretty cool. From the very little I've heard/read we can expect some full body controller action of some sort. So that could be super fun.
What I heard may be old hat and wrong by now though, so take that with a grain of salt.

You forgot Splatoon!
Pikmin 3 was pretty awesome looking, but my kids refused to play it, same with Yoshi Yarn World or whatever the hell it was called. Mario Maker is amazing, but it's not for kids, it's way too complicated.
And Lego City is like Grand Theft Auto: Lego. It's pretty cool, actually, and it's clean and safe for kids while offering more-or-less a full-fledged GTA game in Lego.
