Came in here to post about the G&L Tribute Fallout I just got. It's my second new guitar since I started playing again and I'm so fucking happy with it. Don't need to post a pic because obvs you can google those words and see a pic. Whatever.
But then I come in here and see that pink thing. Fuck. Maybe I need to sell all my instruments and buy some acid and rethink my life.

Fallouts are so rad. I was eyeing one at my local shop for awhile. Which color did you get?

Just need some knobs and to intonate. I actually threw in some spare pickups that I found around the house and not the pickups that I ordered, I am still waiting on those.
But I'm actually kind of digging the pickups that I threw into it? Squier Fat Telecaster 'humbucker' bridge pickup, and a '51 Nocaster neck pickup. 4 way switching. I have the pickups hiked up pretty high to get the output to be more what I am akin to. Still not quite there compared to my EGCs, but still plays well with my board from the 5 minutes I spent playing through it. The 4 way switching is sweet. I sawed off the 22nd fret on the neck. Kinda goofy, but whatever, I don't like necks that hang over. Just need to find a solid set of knobs.
The finish is nice and thin, I put a few small dents in it here and there accidentally while working on it, but it's pretty cool to see dark masonite beneath and not a lighter wood.

interesting question...i could say its a 1978...but that would be a lie.
this is a 2005 Epiphone LPC...I had it refinished in proper silverburst, tinted and finished in nitro. The headstock was reshaped and we got a VOS Gibson overlay to put over the top. I changed out the wiring and put better pots in and put in Burstbucker Pro's...and a few weeks ago installed steel faber bridge parts. The thing is amazing now...sounds great and plays really well too. Sometime in the future i might change the nut as well...but its not a priority at the moment.
you can check out this link for the full story with pics...

Funny, on closer inspection, the fretboard is rosewood, ya?

Fullerton Red, which is great. I'd chose that in a heartbeat. Only concession is that I prefer a maple fretboard, but the only tribute model that had that was Sonic Blue, and it really wasn't doing it for me. Everything else about it is great though.

Yeah. At some point i might die the fretboard...but not really fussed about it. It currently sounds and feels amazing so im pretty content with it as is.
