Warpsmasher your setup is INSANE. What are you running on the iPad? I'm very curious if there are any apps which go well with eurorack implementation. Just spitballing but some kind of touch sequencer in that format would be incredible to have.

Hey thanks. The ipad is mainly used to run the customizing app for the Roland FX modules, for adding mixing and other stuff to them. It has some good softsynths on it but I don't use them much, mostly just when the power goes out or on a long road trip, holiday overnights, etc. As for an app that I can sync with the modular, my favorite for that is actually iKaossilator, and it's not a hard sync, just BPM matching and starting/stopping parts by touch, lots of fun.

Fuck yeah man, Plague Bearer is one of the best reasons to get into eurorack, a real classic of a module. I like how it's also a verb on youtube. Plague Bear that shit, Plague Bearer'd drum machine, etc
It does rad things when you put CV in the audio inputs too, not quite an oscillator but just crazy feedbacky funtimes. I would love to get one of the standalone quads too.

X1L3 strikes again:

4 pin CB mic input! Tempting for me as I've always liked the style. I bought a cheap cb style mic with a 1/4" plug a long time ago but I never use it like ever, so I
think I'm going to pass on this, but there are some really nice looking mics out there in the $30-$60 range to pair with this, and the idea of a cb mic connected directly to the rack is a very tempting one. I noticed the Persuadatron is sold out on his site now, makes me wonder just how limited these batches are gonna be before he moves on to the next thing.

So I shelved half my case for a while to just play with 6U and it's a pretty inspiring size (shutup vid). This of course means I did something responsible like acquire a 7U intellijel case to use for a more permanent small setup and travel. The MDLR is the right size but I'm a wimp and carrying that thing through streets and airports on my last trip sucked hard.

murf. yeah. the 7u MDLR is NOT a Light And Tidy Boi, but man. it feels so SOLID.. no case for the Mantis doesn't a-fear you?
but i havna had to travel with mines. i'm 82% sure i can fit the MN Skiff and Deluge in my Mono backpack, then the MDLR and i'm good. got some heft to them though.
and YESH. i am loving the 7u over the 12 for Main Times, and the half of the DNGR i've been using is niiiiiceeeee.

The intellijel has a lid! You can close it patched. They do also sell a carrying bag that fits the closed case but I dont know if I'll really need it.

niiiice! am i thinking of the Mantis? is that Intellijel too? I AM CONFUSED.
also, ordered the Channel for the Performance Mixer. i just caught that on the DB25 the first out is Master plus 1-6, you need to use the second out to get the stereo 7 and 8. annnnnd it seemed a bit silly to grab another fitty dollar cable for half the outs it could be and More Inputs More Bettah right?
right?

I dropped a cassette tape of eurorack modular beats. Ranges from bangers to cartoon soundtracks and etc. Free to listen online but of course sounds better on tape.

You're thinking two very different, but similar sized cases:
