Back in 05 I had moved back home from college and was pretty miserable.

That summer I made friends with some new people and rekindled a friendship with a dude I knew in middle school who I started working with at a Tim Horton's.

That summer I spent every night the same way: hang with girlfriend until midnight. Take her home. Hope on battle dot net with my brother, my friend bear, this dude named Adam and this dude named Mitch. We would play diablo II until 5 in the morning. I'd sleep until noon and get up for work if I had it.

Every time I saw bear at a party or at a show we'd just talk about Diablo. It was stupid. Our mutual friend would just walk around saying "Diablo diablo" with different inflections.

We were addicted, man.

Diablo II was a glorious game. Diablo III wasn't terrible but I don't think I have the itch to grind Greater Rifts as much as I did running Baal and Mephisto runs make in 05.

I just realized that I caught the only shiny I've ever seen without even knowing it was a shiny. Because apparently shiny Alolan Rattata is just brown.

Just requested my first Steam refund, for Starward Rogue. Dudes really need to hire an artist/animator/UI person. I want to like their games but every single one of them looks/reads/feels terrible.

don't you get banned online for that?

I want to but meh getting banned, i just started.
A ban shouldn't happen because you don't play on battle.net with these mods. They have their own private server.

I started Skyrim, scrolled through the difficulty settings and it will not let me go back from "legendary".
Welp.

Difficulty aside, how are you gonna play? I hit lv40 today and maxed smithing for so sweet dragons armor. I play stealth, assassin/thief.

That sounds swank.
Achtane, that's tough man. Good luck with that shit.
Makes me want to go back to it, but I just started FFVII.
Gonna grind for that perfect game.
Maybe.
I'll see how committed I am to that.

Guitar player in an old band said he had a serious addiction problem with Diablo in 2005...he also revealed that he was the biggest heroin dealer in the county, and that FBI trucks were hanging around outside his house (and mine when we practiced). Who knows how much of that is true.

But then he discovered he was having a kid he didn't know about and jumped ship. Reconnecting with him now that I live back in MI...hear he's a killer mando player.

So yeah I got at X box one and am playing through the Master Chief collection, Halo 5 and Destiny. Gonna look into Ori and the Blind Forest and Titanfall 2 next.

I always go 2-hander and heavy armor. It's ok as long as you use lame combat tactics like standing on a table so the enemy has to keep circling around while shooting them with arrows.
Or getting them stuck on objects.
It's kinda bullshit.
The inability to quick-switch to other weapons/magic and instead having to pause and go through a menu (even with favorites) hinders combat. And stamina gain is too slow. It just turns into a game of shield bash - hit- run away and collect stamina - repeat...but I feel that it takes way too fucking long to kill people when only using 1-handers.

Replayed the main campaign of Skyrim weeks ago, never got around to finishing any of the side quests besides Mages College because the Archmage Robes are pretty overkill and I want to make an Illusionary Stealth build so the Thieves/Brotherhood stuff.

I actually ordered myself the set of Skyrim Lore and History books, so I figured i'd read those and come back to finish what I was doing/ :yay:

If you guys are really into Diablo II you should Path of Exile on steam. What Diablo III should've been and it's free (and not pay to win). Currently what I dump most of my pathetic existence in.

It gets a lot harder in the later difficulties/higher tier maps. There is also so many weird builds you can do in that game since the talent tree is so expansive and inter-connected with other classes. My friends main build is one centered on just using Righteous Fire.

I'm sure you'll get the hang of the gift, I was actually thinking of building one before I realized I can't design circuits for beans. Seems like a lot of fun but my brain just can't grasp exactly what I'd do with it. That Endon album is madness, they actually have a new full length coming out this year. I'm hoping you'll like the CD, it's a friend of mines band, experimental hardcore/metal.

Feeling the Mass Effect hype, i've got plenty of holiday pay at work so i'm considering taking a day or two off work.

I'm not expecting Andromeda to be as compelling as the orginal trilogy but i'm just happy to be in that world, banging Asari.

I'm about 10 hours into ME1 on PC.
Got about 15 hours into ME1 XB360.
Never finished it, nor played ME2 or 3.
Trying to get them done before Andromeda.
Struggling to find motivation to play ME1.
