This feels like a proper OSG guitar, if ever there was one...fucking beautiful. Lovely Spitfire.

I'm pretty dead set on putting a concentric pot in my melody maker after seeing that telemaster posted a few times. I demoed a bunch of guitars this past week and the only thing that most of them had that I really wanted was a tone control haha. That way I don't have to do any extra routing or anything. Any tips or values I should look for? I've never done any mods to a guitar but this seems simple enough as long as I take my time. 500k for both pots? or 500/250?

Just buy a 500K/500K (for Gibson) stack pot and an good tone cap and bring me your Melody Maker. I'll knock that out for ya Pete. We could always just drill an extra hole into the pickguard and add a stand alone tone knob, that's what we did with my friend's. Or, you could buy my Electra.

Agreed. I'm curious how it sounds. Rad looking guitar.

And I love the neck. Super comfy. Fits my hand perfectly. Most of my writing is done on that strat unplugged. I need to give it a clean though. My fingers always smell like metal after playing it.

Was the neck yours at some point?

I did 500/250 just for the single coil in it. Can't recommend stacked pots enough. I like them even better than 4 separate. I did get terribly confused when wiring mine up, the switch is conveniently backwards, but the pots are in the right order.

Hooooly that Telemaster is goddamn gorgeous. Did you finish it yourself? You were right though, those are some gorgeous guitars, just especially the Telemaster, that's one of the nicest things I've seen in a while.

Nah. It was put together by skullservant (also known as Dirge). It used to be solid ebony and only the neck pickup. Another user used a bow on it and got a little rough. It turned out gorgeous like that. The only mods I did to it were adding the Glendale bridge plate, adding the Creamery Sonic 60 bridge pickup, and adding the stacked pots to have tone and volume control.

That Telemaster/Jaguar thing looks sick!

Picked up this Epiphone Slasher a couple of weeks ago. Not too sure about the pickups yet, but all in all it's a very cool guitar (and they can be picked up quite cheap) that's a lot of fun to play.

That looks pretty sweet. I like the Explorer body shape.

Yes! I love the body shape too, it's like a weirder, cooler (to me) version of a Firebird. And the shape is also very comfortable to play!

It also has some on board effects (I think it's a distortion and a chorus), but I haven't bothered to put in a battery yet. I assume the effects will suck anyway

Yeah, it is more Firebird-y than Explorer-y. The contours do look really nice. It's a good color too.

I was wondering what those mini-toggles did.

Wow. I've never seen a Slasher before.

I suddenly want one. Bolt on with a Telecaster neck, maple, with a Telecaster bridge. In that teal color. Woof.
