I owned a VG8 for a little bit and if I remember right the reset input causes the VG8 to reset in the next pulse after the reset signal, so it would play out of phase by one pulse with most of my other stuff, if I sent frequent reset pulses.

I don’t know if what I say next is relevant to your VG8 issue, but I would say that best practice is to send reset commands on stop. Pam’s can do this. Instead of sending resets every 4 bars or whatever, *unless* your patch relies on it for some kooky timing voodoo. Since resets are always a little chancy in my experience, depending on the exact phase of the pulses. I also know that Pams has a serial pulse output kind of like MIDI, and that the order of outputs if phase is set at 0% for all channels is 1-5-2-6-3-7-4-8 (iirc*) and with that you might want to try using output 1 for clocks and 8 for resets, or try the opposite, to see what works best for your set up.

...loving the comic book look all of a sudden. Gonna have to bring all the Snazzy & Dwarfcraft over and get all the graphixy panels together to really do up the aesthetic at some point. :animal:

I put together a Cartesian-esque skiff with Rene v1, Wogglebug, Maths, LxD, DPO, and Tangle quartet and made some fun shit:

Behndy, since you have experience with them, can you comment on the black faceplates from Noise Engineering? I'm trying to find close up pictures of them to figure out what kind of material they are and it's hard to figure out. The normal faceplates are some kind of brushed aluminum deal but I can't figure out what the black faceplates are.

About to place a big ol' NE order so want to know.

i..... i know NOTHING about NoiseEng loot!

they're done by the same people that do QuBit panels, metal, solid as hell. they all seem to bevel a TINY bit inward at the ends, so they fit super nice next to each other.

everything about that company and how they roll is classssssss.

what all you going to grab?

also, WOOT. new Noisy's hit today, Chrono 2 on the way, K-Bipples Chimera on the way, Intellijel 4u bag for the MN skiff en route, Pusherman black panel for Marbles that i have NO IDEA WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE YET on the way.

I keep not wanting to be that guy, but how in the hell do you always have so much gear coming in? Seriously, I'm not one to talk because I almost always have something on the way too, but...how?!

lol. but, for realz. i don't really want much more stuff. unless some awesome new 1u things pop up, or NoiseEng released new loots, only thing i'm super excited about is the SWN. that thing is BEASTY.

supposed to drop in February.

...... also, have a 1u Circuit Abby ring mod that just got here. NEAT.

You're always going to want more stuff!! It's how it works...

Honestly more so than getting a bunch of new stuff in, it's a question of how you actually manage to learn all of the things. I bought two modules in a week a couple weeks ago and I still don't really have a great understanding of the filter I bought. And it's a fucking FILTER. How hard could it be?

They are metal. Knobs were a pain to pull off. Some extra care is needed for any encoders. Went smooth enough though.
