What's the assignment? Sounds interesting.

Just finished a song that I've had half done for problably 4 years now, and I always came back to it because one riff (that was the basis for the whole thing in the first place) is so sick but I couldn't make the rest of the song as good, and now I think I have. I've said that it was finished before, but this time I'm pretty sure I mean it so I'm happy. Crediting this one at least partially to the LSTR because it sounds so good! I turned it on, played the riff, kept going and improvised the bits I wasn't sure about, and at the end realised that I loved what I'd improvised and now that's the song. BOOM. :joy:

^^^ awesome!

I too sat down last night unexpectedly before bed to clear my head and sketch out a track, turned into a two hour recording session and I got an 11 minute long ambient looping/drone jam that I laid both guitar and bass on. I'm 100% pleased with how my board acts with guitar. Still lacking JUST a little on bass when I DI, but I've got a 6 band EQ board coming in the post sometime soon, going to make an EQ for general tone shaping to get some more low mids and use it along with an ODB-3 instead of the Super Collider. Still stoked.

Interview at a museum went well this morning. Started doing the Insanity work out and almost threw up after.

Feeling good about myself today.

Found a couple really affordable ($525 a month) studio apartments downtown milwaukee just a couple blocks from where my new job is in downtown Milwaukee.

Gonna call them up and maybe stop at an open house tomorrow. If they have anything available starting May first or maybe mid-April, I'd be totally made.

Especially if I get my tax returns by then. My parents always just have their accountant do that shit, so I never know when to expect that stuff.

Even not expecting tax returns, I should be able to pay off my school debt and afford an apartment by they end of next month.
