All of the Final Fantasy games on steam are 50% off so I'm finally playing 9 for the first time ever.

I can't help getting super bored with games after like, 10 hours, max. But usually within the first 2-3.
Single player or multi, they just get old really fast. I dunno why.

I always feel like I should buy the games on Steam because of some mods/saving features but never do. I own the physical copy and PSN copy for so many of those games.
Speaking of Final Fantasy I put XV on pause when I went back to work last month. Picked it up again yesterday after having wisdom teeth removed. Got Chocobos. That was awesome. Also killed a behemoth.

Play Limbo and Inside. They're about 2-3 hour long and they are really freaking good.

I just finished Bioshock: Infinite.
Solid FPS I guess, but overall I found it super repetitive and bland, especially compared to my memories of the first Bioshock (which I never actually finished because my PC at the time died and took my save game with it... I am reinstalling that now so I can work through that one properly). No stealth options whatsoever really bugged me, takes away a lot of strategy options for dealing with multiple patrolling enemies, that said many dont patrol, they just wait for you, and more appear when the alarm is sounded. Really, it's just "shoot wave after wave of enemies, then go find a thing, get to a place, and repeat the process". Vigors were kinda boring and pointless. I found that after I got the Shock Jockey Vigor, that is all I used. I upgraded my most used weapons (carbine and hand-cannon) and then didn't bother to upgrade anything else. I had tonnes of money so I could keep ammo full 90% of the time, it was only in a couple of instances were I got caught without ammo. I dunno, it was all very meh.
Plot went way off the deep end and I honestly lost interest halfway through. I was actually waiting for it to be over. Fighting ghosts, bending space and time, and jumping through gates to infinite parallel universes are not what I bought a Bioshock game for. Also I feel like there was a lot of missed opportunity with all the inter-linked floating islands that could have been utilized more during the plot (i.e. destroying the mechanisms keeping the island afloat to effectively "sink" them. Since there was a civil war, there could have been inter-island fighting, all the connecting bridges could have been used as a strategic barrier, or even a "no-mans land"-like obstacle to be crossed during a larger scale battle). Just felt like the setting became pretty irrelevant after the initial introduction and the fighting started.
I know it got a lot of praise when it came out, 9.5/10 or 10/10 etc, but I feel like 7.5/10 would have been more appropriate. Maybe 8/10, tops. Still a good game, but it was definitely a bit overrated/over-hyped...

Some of those ultra-precise shinesparks are impossible for me to pull off. I might never have 100%'d super, it always frustrates me in comparison to the GBA games.

That Mass Effect Andromeda game play trailer looks awesome.

Caved in and started my 2nd RE7 playthrough, made it to the trailer in 1 hour 5 minutes but I don't think that I can be that concerned about the 4 hour Trophy just yet. But I repaired the broken Pistol for the first time, though I don't see why it would be better than the starter

I'm so psyched for Mass Effect

I wish I could find interest in ME2. Finished ME1 and can't seem to continue. I go to play it, but never do.
I wanted to play through the trilogy before Andromeda came out.....but I don't see that happening.

Did you not enjoy 1? Most people think ME2 was the pinnacle of the series.

ME1 > ME3 > ME2
ME 2 is still a brilliant game and I looooove it, but it doesn't quite have the same charm. You've also got to deal with playing as a purely Paragon or Renegade type of Shep which kind of sucks to roleplay. Then there's lugging around a Grenade Launcher and you pretty much have to do a completionist playthrough unless you want to feel like a prick. ME3 had the world building of 1, better gameplay than all of them
and I liked the conclusion a lot.

It was ok.
It didn't really grab me though.

It's quite amazing how hyped I was for Nintendo Switch a few weeks back versus how little I care now. I've got a lot of virtual console games on the wiiu at my parents' (and that's my main reason for buying anything Nintendo, playing the classics) and now they're saying the switch won't have any VC at launch. So it's basically £320 to play the new zelda and... buy Shovel Knight again?
