Thanks man. Still got a couple things I want to do. Definitely going to replace the stock electronics with custom 500K audio taper pots, and PIO capacitors with a smaller neck cap to open up the highs a bit more, and probably 250K or 500K no load tone pots. I also want to get a custom pick guard made or maybe just get a custom sticker made.
Still on the fence, but leaning towards replacing the bridge with a vintage formula vinyl saddle TOM to totally nail that '50s Gibson tone with this axe. If I do this I'm also slapping a B5 Bigsby and Vibramate on it too.
That's why went with the T-Armond too, it's as close as you can get to a vintage Gibson Staple pickup in a humbucker sized mount. They're really basically the same pickup aside from the shape of the alnico pole pieces ("staple" vs cylinder). It's like a P90 balls/output wise, but with a eq curve more like a regular alnico single and a bit more string definition thanks to the individual magnets vs a P90's bar mags.
It's my slide/open tuning/D-std guitar. Fucking sounds soooo sick already, and I know it's gonna be even better with the electronics upgrade.

(That is a map of Hyrule on the back of the blue one, if you haven't got your binoculars handy.)
