Just a thought, but witht he rising number of demo makers both amateur and pro.... Wouldn't it be time to have a Gear Demo / Reviews sub forum in General Gear? Half the first page of GG is nothing but gear Demo's so why not eh?

Either that or we could just tell 'em to stop making demos.

this is something similiar to what I want, I don't really want my own demo page, but I'd like to participate in one.
also thanks for fixing the GuitLove link at the top

I have no desire or reason to request them to stop. Not saying that I dislike them in any way shape or form, but it would be cool to have a go to area for demo's that I'm looking for without weeding through the entire GG.

What about consolidating all of the threads into one demo thread? Like the pedalboard thread but demos. I think a subforum is just going to end up a forgotten corner of the Internet.

Do you really want the cute videos of non crazy members like you and I to be drowned by UG's?

My main thought behind the sub-forum is that it would allow you guys to post a thread per pedal, so you didn't have to have a couple hundred page long thread to sort through. Even if you use keywords to search a thread you can still get a couple dozen to hundred posts with that word in it that you have to sort through. While with a subforum you can go into the forum and select search thread titles only and bam you've got all the threads for that pedal!
Not a sermon, just a thought.

I mean honestly, I just think there's been wayyyyyyyyy too many fucking demos lately. hahaha. I don't even bother to listen to them anymore for the most part because I'm overwhelmed by them.
I'll be open about it too. I don't like pedal combo demos. Unless they are really well done like Old Blood Noise does.
For the most part though I've listened to maybe 10% of the demos post on ILF in the last year.

I tend to agree........There are a few people who do great demos, for the most part I don't listen.
Doesn't help that I usually am on ILF from places where listening is prohibited.
I am fine with a sub-forum, or maybe like a whole website where people can easily upload and share videos. Not sure if anything like that exists.........

I like that more people are making demos. I only watch demos made by ILFers anyways, and a video goes a longer ways towards giving me an idea of what a pedal actually sounds like than someone just sharing their thoughts.
