I'm only a few hours into Breath of the Wild, but it's fantastic so far. Not sure I'd buy a Switch just for it though. I briefly thought about trying to track down a Switch, but I figured it made way more sense for me to actually get some use out of the my Wii U.

there's already a hack for the web browser so i'm guessing early Switch adopters will be getting throttled with software patches.
i'd expect it to take at least until whenever Super Mario Odyssey comes out to know whether or not it's gonna be worthwhile in the long run. the next few months are looking pretty barren.
the plus side on buying a Wii U instead is that the other games are pretty cheap now, it's probably good value if you wanted to try other stuff too.

I bought a switch and breath of the wild last Friday.
I probably have 30 hours in Zelda at this point and I barely scratched the surface. It's so good.
All the hype was justified.

Has there ever been a worse idea than Thoreau's Walden: the videogame?

Well it does play to the reality of Walden Pond as very close to civilization, I suppose.
edit: Did a little bit of reading and apparently the game was funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, so it wasn't really developed as a commercial piece.

Does Sunset technically count as a game?

My gaming lately consists around Summer Carnival '92 Recca, pretty wild for a Famicom game, can't put it down. Need to open up my Switch but fear the new Zelda may ruin my life, everyone seems pretty happy with it.

I recently finished Bioshock 1 for the first time and it was cool. While Infinite was a smoother FPS in general, Bioshock definitely had more going on and felt more immerse and interesting to me.
I recently picked up PC copies of Halo 1 and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 from a thrift shop for $2 each, so those are next up on my list. Played the first couple levels of Ghost Recon, and for a game made in 2007, it has held up fairly well. Halo 1 will be amazing of course. No surprises there!

Bioshock 1 and Halo 1/2 are my flippin jam. Actually played so much Halo after getting married my wife threw my X-box out of a second story window.
