also congrats baremountain, i know that feel and it's great

Definitely need to spend more time with the SOS, but it wasn’t love at first patch. One of the pots bugged me, maybe the Rate. Behaved almost like a switch, one sound in the first 5-10% of the rotation, an entirely different vibe for the rest of the turn of the pot. But I haven’t played with the insert function or the vca. Or read the manual. Sounds and feels more like a generic noisemaker than a delay.
Already questioning the purchase, which was an impulse buy during a slow work day.
Delay on the Neutron, however, is intuitive and works as expected - both as a traditional delay and a straight noise source.

lol. also. have an Atlantis on the way. it just.... looks so.... damn FUN.
debating on grabbing another MN Skiff or a slightly beat up Enclave 6u on Reverb. leaning towards the MN because i liiiiike the idea of Modular Modular. but it also feels maybe silly to have 3 separate 104 skiffs?
thoughts?
edit - lollololol. annnnnnd now i'm leaning towards the Enclave. always wanted to try a Tempi, and that would let me do a Tempi + Wogglebug + All The NoiseEng I Don't Have In Any Cases on the top row, the Metropolis + Atlantis combo i wanted on the bottom row.
edit edit - neverrrrrr mind. grabbed the Enclave.

Always wanted to try the Atlantis too... interested to see what you do with it and what you think.
Got a Nerd Seq delivered yesterday. I love my Flux1 for a lot of reasons but some things about the immediacy of the interface bother me.... the functions are so nice though. Interested to see how the functions compare on the Nerd Seq but already digging the layout and immediacy of it. I also wanted to compare the Hermod so may do that if I don't love the Nerd. We'll see.

moof. i don't want a Hermod at ALL. i wanted to love the Squarpamid so much. but FUCK that interface. and in a smaller footprint? oh HELL nooooooo gurrrrrrrL.
NerdSeq DOES give me Itchy Boners though.

also, an intertlink system would be neat between racks, but i'd really prefer an external box. i mean, a pod or something like that would work i guess, but does someone make something like the CV/OCD that you can grab two and place one near each rack for the linkin's?

I'm not sure, since I already got the ADDAC I'm just going to give that a go but I just saw these are coming out which are fairly low HP and connects cases via an HDMI cable!

yah. those are interessssting.
lol. it's so stupid, because i rarely play out. but i still have a hard time justifying hp space for connection to gear i won't use live.
because STUPID.
also, what the actual fuck. emailed Mackie because the FXPro12 is my backup mixer/audio interface (still haven't sorted the PreSonus i had that CAUGHT FIRE) and i could not figure out how go get it to show up as more than a stereo in/out. they responded, and said YEP. it's only 2 ins 2 outs over USB. the HELL.
fucking useless thing.

Yeah, I mean I wouldn't leave them in the case when I'm playing live. I've only been playing out about every other month and like to switch modules out so next live gig, I just pull that out and put in something from the other case before putting together the live set.

Current state of my 7u case.
Planning on replacing some of the 1u with a Intellijel Noise Tools to free up my Disting for sidechaining, replacing Maths with another Stages, and eventually getting a ER-102. But the last part may take a while.
Overall it's really playable and easy to jam on it for hours.

so sexy.
how do you like the Polaris? i'm trying to snag one because i have a row on the 6u headed in that's almost all Intellijel, and a 10 hp spot.
HAWT. RACK. OF LOVE.

I really like the Polaris. Had been wanting a Roland-y filter and it delivers for sure. It's nice having plenty of input gain and then distortion after the filter to bring out harmonics. Honestly haven't played around with the all-pass filter or phaser but it's nice having them.
I do think it's the same filter that's in the Atlantis though. Which I'm jealous of.

hurm. lol. well. i mean. i WAS trying to grab a dood's Polaris AND Stingray 2. so if it sounds too same'y as the Atlantis (i am so jealous toooooooooo!), i'll swap it for the Stinger?
the Klee is fucking YUMMY. it's a really cool for evolving patterns but keeping them relative to what they started as. lol. and it makes the Rings sound like an IDIOT playing guitar at points.
fucking YES.

also, fuck ME for getting rid of the Transient. idiot. got a second one coming in, so the 6u Enclave is going to look something like this -

^^^ I don't know what ALL those NE modules are but that case looks superfun.
Also LOL at idiot guitar. It's not idiot, it's just NO WAVE, man.
Also, greyscales, your system looks like hot fire jam times. Starting to get itchy about the 101. It seems like it can do so much interesting widgets without a super TON of input from me (I do not know how to write a melody or what-have-you).

Thanks, dude. One of my favorite things to do on the 101 is apply a random math to a pattern's pitch and gates, so you can kind of step back and let it generate its own riff. Then it's easy to just keep randomizing until you get something cool. Really helps when you feel locked into the same musical ideas. Turns into a happy accident machine.
