The constant feeling of impending doom - viral, economic, etc. - is making me feel like I should go balls out and buy an expensive toy on a 0% credit card because fuck it all. If the economy collapses in three months and I'm bankrupt... well I was gonna be anyway and now I just have a Prophet-6 to make my cardboard box under the overpass nicer. Or if I die, then my corpse has just robbed the credit card issuer of the money because it's unsecured and I have no estate for them to raid.

I'm actually kind of warming up to Biden and God I kind of hate myself for saying that. So, if I vote, it's got to be for one of these knuckleheads apparently (well I'm in a state that the Electoral College can override popular vote but let's stay with the fantasy that I decided). Anyway, I read part of his plans with affordable housing and I was like, you know what, I agree with him. I thought he was going to go off the hinges but he's not in that regard. It appears as if he just wants to help solve some issues there (like not being able to afford fucking housing) and to be honest, I'm good with that. Why wouldn't I be? Well, as a property owner who is trying to get out, it may create some obstacles for me but I think I'll figure it out. I think everyone else will too.

Biden is garbage and won't lift a finger to fight for any of the new progressive plans he's debuting. The people behind him in the Democratic machine are overjoyed at the prospect of integrating Republican cretins like Rick Wilson into their coalition so they can never have to reckon with inequality, access to healthcare or actual approaches to systemic racism as the left wing of the party desires.

But he ain't Trump. We should all be able to break free of voting for the lesser evil in favor of someone who might actually improve material conditions in this godforsaken country... but the GOP keeps setting a new bar for the greater evil and it gets tougher to argue in favor of abstention or protest voting.
