I am pretty sure that was from the American Civil War period, not 1966.

Yeah the movie is set during the Civil War, but it was produced in '66.

I just woke up from a dream in which I met Neil Patrick Harris in a parking lot and agreed to drive him to a variety show where he would be playing Shostakovitch's fifth on a piano (?). There was missiles shot at us and a cappella music playing... we were in a jeep.

And also my housemates are weird...
I had to explain to one of them how being billed for gas works...
he got mad that our gas bill was so high.

yes, many times, and my conclusion is that as cool as he was in 66, Lee Hazlewood still had him beat. IMO of course.
