The Crate in question is a rebadged Ampeg, Crate have made some truely awful amps along with that good stuff. You'll also find Jared plays Fenders most of the time now.

Personally I'll take a Squier Standard (gold decal) or CV over any MIM but would generally avoid anything from the Affinity (black decal) range. Still prefer my US Fender Jazz to my CV Jazz but then again it was five the times the price (wouldn't say it's 5 times as good though, maybe just twice ).

Whoever says their squire is better then american fenders is trying to justify buying a squier.
I like Squires, but I don't know where you played American Fenders that bad.
If you like your squier, that's great, but I really have to question the number of squiers popping up that are, "Just that much better."

Didn't the same company own Crate and Ampeg at one time?
