I just got back from Utah and Colorado. I hiked Hanging Lake, Arches National Park, and Canyonland National Park. I'll try to post pics this week. It was amazing.

Arches and Canyonland are absolutely beautiful, I went as a kid and haven't gotten back there since. Did you make it to Zion?

Resizing on my phone is a pain in the balls, but here is two pictures I took while doing the Daibutsu Hiking Trail in Kamakura, Japan. It was pretty damn beautiful for mid-September (even if the weather was still very Summer-like)

We did not. We were staying in Moab and we decided to see as much as we could of the parks that were closest to us.

It's crazy how many parks are around there, so much cool shit to see.

Rocks of Sharon, about an hour hike from the trailhead in eastern Washington. You can hike to it from where I grew up but it's like 7 miles. We did it last summer the long way.

Looks like some where I'd like to go
I'll leave this poem from Bill Watterson, that I have likely recited to myself on every exploratory journey I have taken since childhood...
"Explorers are we; Intrepid and bold
Out in the wild, amongst wonders untold
Equipped with our wits, a map, and a snack
We're searching for fun, and we're on the right track"
