Hi, My name is Felix (actually, no it's not) and I'm a distortion addict.

I got my first Devi Pedal (2 knob SM) from Zerosum a while ago. It's quite possibly my favorite pedal ever. Extremely quiet, extremely versatile, and extremely mean!
Been lurking the boards here for a few weeks and figured it was time to join.
I've got a Bit Mangler and Dream Mangler on the way...more DE goodness to come!!!

Hey guys. I've been posting for several weeks now and just never got around to this.

I'm Lukas. I live near Philadelphia in (sadly) southern New Jersey.

I've been trading and buying like an irresponsible nut lately, so my current Devi collection consists of:
-TBD, SM, DB, Hyperion, YotR, and TP.

I've got 3 more on the way through trades. I'm a pedal junkie all around. I have a band who you'll all hear hopefully soon. I worship Billy Corgan, Trent Reznor, Stephen Brodsky, Josh Homme, and a slew of other people.

I'm also a luthier. I went to John Marshall's Luthier's International over the summer. I'm getting decent at repairs and have built one guitar so far that should be up on the "Let's See Your Guitar" forum soon enough.

Thanks guys.

Hey everybody,

I've been secretly admiring Devi's pedals from afar for the last few years and will be getting my first pedal, a BIT, soon. I love all kinds of music.

Ive been playing guitar and bass for around 4 and 1/2 years, as well as drums in one form or another since i could hold the sticks. I live in Vermont, which i love despite its general podunkness.

I play guitar, as well as sometimes sing and play bass in my band, The Avenues (we all can play each others instruments to a degree so we have a rotating lineup for some songs.) We play alot of classic rock and indie rock covers, and we all appreicate dorky power pop. As far as our originals (only a few so far), they range from shit kicking blues, to funky soul and r&b, indie rock, and feedback drenched noise pop.
I think our bass player just made a myspace page for us, but we still have to record our songs and get soundclips up.

Some songs we play/have played:
Foxey Lady-Hendrix
Radar Love-Golden Earing

Buddy Holly-Weezer -we go straight into the riff from Welcome Home by coheed and cambria mid chorus when we play this sometimes

Snatch it back and hold it-Junior wells and buddy guy
The sporting Life - The decemberists
Creep-Radiohead

Gear:
Epiphone Les Paul Custom-Rewired and GFS vintage 59 pickups
Squier Affinity Strat- Rewired with GFS Premuim Alnico 2 pickups
Peavy Delta Blues 1x15 30 watts
1986 (i think) Fender Stage Lead 1x12 -Sort of broken
Boss MT-2 Modded with Monte Allums tri gain kit
Dan-o Fab overdrive and Chicken Salad Vibrato
Signal Flex Chorus-VERY BROKEN
Digitech RP 80-Slightly broken

BTW- SOULKITCHEN-your enclosures are among the coolest i've seen, the fuzzes that they contain are also quite nice.

Hi Everybody,

I am Zsolt, from Budapest, Hungary.
I play bass and samplers in a special band called Gayan Uttejak Orchestra.
Check our website at: http://www.guo.hu

I am a proud owner of 2 DE pedals (AF DB and AF SM) but I am in love
with almost each and every others.
I am into a more analogue synth sounding approach of playing bass, like
John Davis of Nerve.

Hola Forum,

My name is Cliff. I'm from Seattle WA. I'm 25. I got out of the USMC last year. Since then I've been a full time student in San Diego, I'm a civil engineering major right now. I play bass because it makes me happier than anything on the planet.
:)
For the love of fuzz.

I'm only reposting here as I've recently resurrected my ambient project "Exuviae" on myspace and would love to have some feedback from other folks here at the forum.

The two newer tracks at the top of the playlist both utilize Devi gear...

Hey Guys! i'M New to the forum........

Post by gishlullmoon »

Hey Guys! let me introduce myself, my name is Alex, i've been playing guitaar since i was 13, (im 22 now) and i'm still searching for the perfect sound. Playing the Guitar is still just a small hobby of mine however. I'm not the best guitarist, i can barely do solos, BUT i LOVE to play. Anyways today I'm writing about the "Rocket" pedal. About a whole year ago i saw on youtube someone playing one, and i thought i should've bought one but i didn't have any money.......so, i forgot about it and the name of it ever since until this evening i happened to search smashing pumpkins on ebay and "poof" there it is......so i bought it.......
i love the pumpkins, i have a 1957 reissue stratocaster and im trying to save up money for a marshall jcm 2203x reissue. After being disappointed with a big muff reissue, i sent BM reissue to someone who modified it into a "creamy dreamer" and i wasn't satisfied...........then someone told me about a "Mayo" pedal froM skreddy pedals. I really do like it alot.....i've kept both pedals but im hoping i will like the"rocket" alot more.........as someone else posted earlier they said the same thing about the mayo. The reason i bought rocket off ebay is because i couldnt find it on the links on this main site :(
the rest of equipment is----
ada mp-1 pre-amp
alesis multimix firewire8
Boss distortion 1
Boss flanger 3
Boss Auto Wah 3
MXR Phase 100 Vintage version
skreddy mayo pedal
skreddy zero pedal
big muff pie reissue (with creamy dreamer mod)
hopefully this rocket pedal will kick my mayo and big muff's ass so i can sell them and get some money for my amp ;)

money money money, jesus its always about the money

I'm Jeff. I've been playing guitar since 1980, and singing since 1986. Obviously: I'm old.

My very first devi ever pedal arrived today, The Rocket, and it's even better than I hoped. I can't wait to get this thing on a stage.

I stumbled on Devi's pedals via a "boutique pedal" google query - and I'm really happy about that. I've since done a ton of investigation into this world of fx, and think I might take a crack at designing/building my own circuits (my hobby is collecting hobbies).

Even though my guitar style incorporates plenty of "squidgy noises", the Rocket is (so far) the only 'experimental' pedal I use, with the exception of a zvex ringtone. Frankly, I didn't care much for the Ringtone until I put it in line with the Rocket - now I think I'll keep it.

The main pieces of my live guitar rig are a Brian Moore guitar, an Engl Savage amp, a GR-33 guitar synth, a Novation Supernova II synth module, an Eventide Eclipse, and a Boss RC-50 Looper. The analog pieces are new to the front end of the magnetic path of the rig, and it all seems to be working really well together. There are a few other bits in there occasionally, but these are the 'important' bits.

If interested, you can check out my band Sazerac at http://www.sazerac.tv
