but as a mature adult discussion about politics not fueled with the doom and gloom of the prospect of another four trump years....
My god what a dislikable guy Biden is. On every good thing that he could promise he says absolutely not. He is clearly sundowning. His entire repertoire is simply not believable. He ran his entire primaries on being a tough right wing guy and now he is trying to squeeze into the space between the existing right wing america and the far-far-right america that trump represents, while simultaneously treating the awful shit he did in his past as just whatever things, like the crime bill or whatever else he did during the obama years.
What he said at the end fundamentally sums it up, its a vote about the "character of this country". And he is right. Biden will add different, more respectable ~~vibez~~ to the imperial death machine that is america, but seriously. If he ran against any other party other than the fascist republican one he would be the enemy.

Sorry I am bringing in this lack of excitement to an already deflated presidential race, but this is just such shit. I only believe he will do the things he promises when he says he will read the CIA briefings and care about them a lot more. And to some degree I think he would care more about following through on the US backed coup in bolivia. Which I don't think trump opposes I just think he doesn't give a fuck about bolivia.

Yeah, definitely a shitshow.
Biden's a moderate with some left leanings. A moderate is, unfortunately, what this country needs at this point.
It's too bad there couldn't've been a shift slightly more to the left.
Progressives will have to wait.
