He's now, apparently, dropped his claim to be a dealer, removed it from the ad copy & has added this:
"Nonetheless, this IS a brand new unopened pedal."

There was some rumor that the 856 "Expression" jack was capable of supporting a couple of momentary switches that would allow one to use it in a table-top setting with remote footswitches on the floor. I couldn't seem to find any info about the Expression jack in the documents on the Montreal Assembly site. So far, only the post by Scott in this forum saying:
"It's easy to use an expression pedal with the 856. Simply plug one into the 1/4 inch jack closest to the DC jack. Then to choose what knob to control with the expression pedal, simply hold down the FBK switch while turning the knob you want to control. After you let go of FBK, the expression pedal should now control that knob."
Will I have to booger in another jack to remote the footswitches?
Also, is the voltage range 0 to 3.3v like the Count To Five?

I've used a small momentary stomp with the CT5. I have one of those tiny buggers from Lee at Lightning Wave. It's crazy cool. I'll try it on the 856.

Jwar,
Does your momentary stomp switch actually just plug in to the Expression jack on the CT5 and seamlessly duplicate or replace the left side (loop record) footswitch? Boy, that's a puzzler … How Do It Know?
Or did you add a jack that interrupts (or parallels) the built-in footswitch?

Hi
If you open the pedal you will see a set of 5 dip switches and a sticker showing the config for expression or footswitch. They ship with expression pedal setup but you just flip the switches as it shows and it will accept 2 footswitches on a TRS 1/4 inch plug. Expects normally open switches.
Sorry i will update the manual for this since i see it is not there. but that is the way to get it to work with external footswitches. When they are connected both sets of switches will work as well (on and off pedal).
let me know how it goes
