Speaking of jobs. I totally crushed my interview today. They want me back on Tuesday. Fingers crossed, I start working properly in the next two weeks.

New Standard tuning, lowered a bunch, plus self-made baritone guitar, plus Bartok scale.....equals super fun time.

the cold front has arrived, with great honking wind gusts that sound like a gale off the Pacific coast and t-storms strong enough to light the sky like the 4th of July. so tomorrow maybe the weather will be bearable.

recording some later jams. Sold most of my recording equipments though, so gotta use the built in condensers on my BR-600. For some reason this excites me. I think I like the sound of single mic drums better than a whole "proper" setup. Except for no stereo field. FUCK IT DOE

i like to use two mics for drums. i don't like the every drum separated in hi-fi approach...i want the drums to sound like a full kit integrated into the sound.

I agree. Even when I could use a full drum mic "kit" I liked to make it sound like it was coming from one source. also, DAT ROOM AMBIENCE. even if the sound of my bedroom sounds like assbutt

I haven't been feeling depressed for about a month, I don't know who I am anymore, and that's really exciting.

:D toss something my way. My drummer might be setting the studio up in my apartment, and I'm going to (finally, holy crap) start fucking with recording.

No matter how far down I feel, the universe always kinda makes me remember that all is fine, that all is well and things aren't as bad as my mind tends to make them. Ah. I'm just thankful I guess..
