People selling Eurorack modules are nuts. Barely any discount, then it's all Paypal gift or else you pay the 3.5%.
Gee, I can send money to a stranger in order to save, uh, $15 over buying one new with free two day shipping? Thanks, I guess.

I've started mostly just buying things new for that reason. I can save shipping and taxes on a used modules? Great! Might as well just spend a little more to get something brand new then.
I've also had like 3 people agree to buy something, ask for my PayPal, then not sent me any funds or explanation. I'm getting a little confused

Now that Reverb is charging sales tax (at least where I live), I have to be getting a really good price for me to justify buying there. Used modules for even 15% off new aren't worth it. I can just hold out for a 10% off sale at a dealer and get it cheaper than used.

Downloaded 'I Dream of Wires' - felt awfully thin for the sales job they (apparently) did on the modular world with the limited edition packages and stuff.

yurp. i don't always get charged sales tax, but since DetMod has the points accumulation system and they always have an active 10 percent coupon, it's like.... $2 more new usually.

I thought it was great but I didn’t go in with high expectations. Did they partially fund the movie with prerelease merchandise? I don’t understand your post. ‘I dream of weenie’ is how Google autocompleted I dream of w for me, it bears mentioning.

A lot of the "extra features" are on YouTube now I believe. I'm kind of with you, I held out on getting a hardcopy cause... even if something has an extra 10 minutes, it's still "extra features". If you ever feel like digging just go on any number of the people interviewed youtube channels and dig through. I used to love the old TrashAudio uploads.
Also, NJ/NYC bros... I'm going to this. Hmu if anyone wants to meet up. If you want to observe me from a distance, I will probably be wearing a Shania Twain T-Shirt under a button down jean shirt (that will be open, prominently displaying Shania.

[NOTE: I'm going cause it's $15 and I live like 20 minutes away... I WOULD NOT make the trek from out of state, unless you live on the border of PA and can hop on 78E quickly, or something. That's just me.]

..... might have to wait for a shipment from Germany. which. oof. but. i'm.... patient?

Just got Behndy's Zadar today and found a discounted Praga at Moog Audio. So now I will have this:

The only thing I want to do is get some kind of in rack effects. I was thinking of waiting until the Xaoc Timiszoara comes out and dropping the Cold Mac and Ears, but I might try to grab a Chronoblob 2 or a Monsoon instead? I honestly have no idea, but I can't really spend any more money right now since payment for the Matriarch will be required any day.

Dual FX firm Erica Synths? it sounds GOOD, does a bunch of delay and reverbs, a distortion/crusher, has 2 sides, can run serial or parallel, only 10 hp?

So I watched a demo of the Dual FX. Pros: sounds really good, I like the available modes, pretty simple design. Cons: I have never gotten along with other similar multi-fx and I hate when knobs are labelled param 1/2 (although in this case it seems pretty easy to figure out what they do in most modes).
I think I'm leaning towards the Chronoblob 2. I loved the old one and the upgrades in the new one seem amazing.
I listed my Cold Mac and Ears for trade along with my Planar 2 so we will see what kind of offers I'll get
