Damn these are tempting. Ataxia or Eudemonia would fit in nicely in my rack. Not that I want a rainbow rack but I'm glad there are some more colorful modules coming out.doommeow wrote:This is relevant to my interests : aka walletChankgeez wrote:I crossposted this in the echorec thread, but why is the purple one a delay?

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
Just noticed that I had exactly enough money in my PayPal and exactly enough hp in my rack for a QuBit Prism, which looks like exactly what I want as far as in rack effects go! So that's on the way!

Also, ordered some new desks and should be getting the Matriarch any day now! My studio space is going to be epic in a few weeks!

Yo behndy, you had a Prism right? Still have it or did you flip it? Likes/dislikes? I mean it's a bit late now since I already ordered it, but I am still curious on your thoughts.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
lol. didna flip it, but it's been on "loan" to a bud for monrhs now.
it was interesting? i liked the bit crushing a lot. the delay and filter were okay. i just dug separate modules for each effect better?
but it does sound GOOD.
also, grabbe an Error Instruments Broken Tape Simulator. because NEAT.
also also, apparently i am like #380 on the Pulsar-23 wair list. which "will go out the first few batches". WOOT.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
That's kind of what I was seeing when I did a bit of research on it, but I don't have the space for individual modules in my rack so it should fit very well. It also won't necessarily be my main filter or delay (those will be covered by Three Sisters and Matriarch's delay), Prism is just going to add a little more flavour.behndy wrote:lol. didna flip it, but it's been on "loan" to a bud for monrhs now.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
#RASTlife
My first patching session in about a month. Feels like a lot of muscle memory lost in the that time. But the upside is things are coming together. I'm generally a slapdash about most things, so it's a nice change when a plan comes together.
Had the Rast cut into thirds to free up desk space, put the moog stuff in the second case, powered with by Trogotronic m/15 power system. Still need to get an extra flying bus so I can move the Monoprice over and power it from the Trogo rather than pushing the limits of the uZeus. Need to get/find a power supply for my midi controller. And want to get serious about using the ES-8 (now that the ES-9 is out
). And get some sort of cable management in place.
Neverends.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
and i'll say this - the new input panel for the Trogo m/15 is the best of all possible worlds. Same size and price as the previous smallest/cheapest option, but now with a switch and removable cables. Cables are 'locked' in place to you don't have to worry about them getting ripped out during a gig. by cats, etc. And power bricks are stored outside the case, making it skiff friendly. For not many sheckles more than a uzeus - especially if you diy.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
My current rack situations:

The Palette is all new modules to me. Really wanted something to replace what I used my OP-1 for but without a keyboard/touch interface. Still very much in the honeymoon period with everything in it but it's refreshing to have a straightforward yet flexible percussion rack.
This case size is really nice, I didn't want to have to fill an 84hp skiff and the 4ms Pods are a little too small for my interests.

I've been thinking of a Palette case for a similar percussion rack. Going to wait until I'm settled with the Matriarch and my current rack, which I am just finishing putting together.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
Oof, I really want an Intellijel Palette case as well after seeing Ricky Tinez' video. That is a rad set up. I really regret getting a big Pittsburgh Case... its dope looking but for some reason three rows feels weird aesthetically/workflow wise. I look at two row cases and just
Hopefully I can find a way to shuffle things around someday and switch to two smaller cases.
