I have managed to arrange it such that the company I work for is contracting me to do my own work through an intermediary without them knowing it's me they're contracting.

Not quite. It's by project. So any contracted time I'll essentially be getting paid twice for. But that won't be constant. The trick is to keep feeding him ideas from this end, that he thinks we're too busy to do ourselves.
