Museyeyesyeyeys - harumph. lol. THAT'S WHAT I GET FOR PRE-ORDERING. i mean. i'm having a blast with loots i have, but still. fuck me that's a sexy buggeriboo.

Whales Inconsolable - iiiiiiii... ignored the Tete on purpose because i don't have room for a Tetrapad and that right now. but they're talking about doing MN style black panels so.... my interest... is piqued?

i want a Palette case, it seems awesome as a companion control thing. but every time i fill one on ModGrid i.... hate it? i don't like the Intellijel 1u options is most of it i think. i always feel like i'd rather have a MN skiff instead.

The Tete is awesome. A little overwhelming with possibilities tbh. It can do so much and does so very quickly. It opens up a lot of potential with the Tetrapad and those 2 modules + a Planar are very fun as a controller section. I have a Scales in there too but ironically not enough voices to make use of all that control (with my current setup, which will of course change soon enough).

Finally ordered a Rene, twisting knobs felt more like how I want to work than inputting notes on the NerdSeq. For now I just have a Neutron and some scattered modules I picked up used (Batumi, Pam's New Workout, Radio Music), debating whether to start saving for a Mimeophon/Morphagene first or modules for a West Coast-y voice.

Cant go wrong w Morphagene dude. It’s a seriously great module. I moved mine back into my Shared System and replaced it w er-301. Kinda want to pop another one back in the case and move er-301 and flxs into a Palette for portable modular nonsense. Haven’t tried Mim, but I know a few people that got them and love em.

jebus there's a huge lag on most distributors getting Arbhars. Instruo Jason said they are hustling to make enough to satisfy all the demand, i have nooooo idea when DetMod will actually get some.

for me, it's sort of moot for a hinute anyways. even if they shipped today, i wouldna get it till Thursday or Friday. and The GrrL and i are off to Chile from Saturday, come back the 22nd. be a neat Return Toy if it arrives while i'm out i guess?

So I'm getting out of the euro game. Listed everything I've got left in BST. Hit me up if you're interested!

I don't use it enough to justify continuously spending money on it and every time I think I'm happy with it, I find some other module to lust over. Perfect example is the last month of planning things I don't need. My original plan was to keep a small 4U rack to augment the Matriarch, but then I started thinking about adding a Mimeophon, which required a bigger case, which means more room for other stuff, etc.

Also, whenever I go to play some music, I tend to gravitate towards something more immediate to play. So my new plan is to focus entirely on what I have (Matriarch, Digitakt, DX7, Mono Station, a couple Pocket Operators, and a bunch of pedals) and thoroughly learn everything inside and out.

cool beans. i mean, i feel you on the Lustful Entrapments, it's fucking frustrating to buy and swap 6 modules and realize i was happier before NEW SHINIES.

but modular has been a Kept Me Making Music dive. i was fucking boreeeeed with bass and the soft synth heavy setup i was using. still am constantly happily surprised with starting from scratch and seeing where a patch goes.

I find modular has been the opposite for me. More of a I don't feel like playing because I am just waiting on the next piece of my plan to come together kind of thing :idk:

I think this is most likely to be the case if you build your modular to be a general synth, albeit with very bespoke components. I couldn't replace my other hardware or software synths with my little skiff, but the inverse is also true. So when I need the Skiff, I use the skiff. If I don't need it for a given thing, I don't use it.
