My friend almost put a controller through the tv when he was playing that game. The poor guy never stood a chance...

I beat the water level a few times, but right after that was the overworld bullshit where every building you entered was full of respawning enemies and if Donatello wasn't alive you were fucked.
It's easier to land in Top Gun than it is to beat TMNT.

Oh you know what else was nearly impossibly or simply is... that fucking shit level in Battletoads where you are falling and can't touch the wall of spikes that line the entire thing. Fuck that shit. I don't know anyone personally that has beaten that. I actually watched my friend pull his tv to the ground after his 6th attempt that day. he was 23 at the time.

everything after the hoverbike level in Battletoads is basically a mystery to me.
If you want some real frustration, try Ninja Gaiden or its sequel. Tecmo looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooved to set it up so that as you jump over an endless chasm, a flying enemy will spawn and try to murder you. So if you fuck anything up, you die. If you decide "nope" and turn back, the enemy has respawned over the gap. Fuck.
I never beat the dude in Ninja Gaiden 2 who threw spiders all over the place. He was the boss of the level where the wind randomly changes direction as you're trying to jump over a million gaps. There was a level like that.

You are not wrong in the least for wanting moog more than children. At least you know what you like and enjoy.
If you want children so be it as well. That's not for everyone and it's sort of absurd that parents assume everyone else is just as enthusiastic about populating the world.
Dude, you're saying children are not fun, I'm saying children are fun. Do me the favor of not putting me in the same bucket as the idiot parents you're probably referring to.
To explain what I mean, comparing having children to owning an instrument just doesn't ring true. If you want a comparison, maybe try imagining this: discovering music and starting to learn an instrument at the same time. It's terrifying, frustrating, gratifying and sometimes downright fun. Thing is, if you don't have children you don't know what you're talking about. It's like talking to my boss about making music. Some basic knowledge is just missing.

Kids are awesome! I don't have children yet, but me and the missus have been trying for ages. But comparing them against owning a moog!!! Really? Not selfish. Just a bit narrow minded to compare the moog to having kids. Music makes me happy, but having a kid would make me over the moon with joy. Its just not a fair comparison. I think you hit the nail on the head phantasmagorovich. And at the end of the day a moog is just material crap. I would not run into a burning building to save a moog. But i'd run into a burning bulding a dozen times to save a dozen kids. Nuff said!!!!

I don't have to have children to understand the idea. That's flawed logic. You are telling me not to put you in the same bucket but you are actually using their exact arguement.

Also the assumption I've never been around or cared for children in my life is a large one to assume as well.
