Just found a "real-person" job that would let me snowboard every day... and pay me for full-time work (when I'm teaching I only get paid for the hours of instruction, which necessitates a second-gig for wintertime rent).

AND! My business partner and I just got put on to a substantial bit of funding for the next project. It's a verbal agreement right now, which is obviously not ideal, but it's still better than nothing.

Got word on Friday and today is my first day back on day shift after being on night work since the week before getting married 5 months ago. Beyond stoked to actually get to have dinner with my wife again.

My little girl and I have been having a lot of fun the last few days. 5 year-olds rule!

Looks like I'm doing a study on the effects of alcohol in a couple days. Getting paid to get wasted on grain alcohol and play video games!
Not really a big drinker but if someone is paying me to do it, I'll drink.

Also going to Chicago in a couple weeks for a concert/seeing friends. Couch surfing and skipping a couple days of classes! I'm getting excited for it.

Saturday night, I hit a large chunk of stone in the road and broke a huge piece out of one of my rims. Monday, after surveying the damage proper, it just so happens that the tire itself sustained no damage and a family friend has a Grand Prix with the same wheels he's about to junk. So, less than 48 hours later, I have my car back and am only out 12 bucks.

I think I found a place I can almost afford to live in and its not my car!!!! I only have to move like 3 blocks too haha

I could legitimately move out of my parents place by October. I found a place with a decent dude for $265 a month. I know he can be overboard drinking, but he's real docile and seems like he mostly keeps to his room when he's at home. My room would be pretty tiny, but the living room space makes up for that.

I might want to try mid-month just so I could be in the city for the Film Festival I will be helping with/attending from September 26-October 10 or something like that. (plug)

Things are possibly going really well for me now.

Flying down to San Diego tomorrow and staying through the weekend. Gonna watch some boat racing and drink beers on the beach + catch a concert. Epicness
