also also also (helloooooo vooooooiiiiiiiid), i'm digging the Harmonaig, ambivalent about the Instruo Filter (it's neat, but i'm not awesome with filters, so it feels like most others?), want an easier way to patch 3 to 4 note chords, soooooo have a Doepfer Quad Precision VCO on the way.

annnnnnd it's going to be a couple to three weeks for the Vult Freak to get here. but at least it's shipped.

the Pulsar-23 has NOT shipped yet. they did say it would take up to 2 weeks (probably faster!) to ship. which. okayyyyyy. but. i mean. it's 2 g's. sennnnnnd iiiiiiit pleaaseeeee.

Just irresponsibly bought a Mimeophon. :erm: I sold my echophon awhile back in hopes to get the mimeophon and I'm looking forward to have another module to freeze loops. :snax: I hope it can get at least a little dirty like the echophon can. I got some beautifully industrial digital sounds out of echophon and miss that a bit.

:snax: mimeophon sure looks nice. Enjoy!! And update when it arrives :animal:

I've been planning on getting a chronoblob 2 for ages because it has two delays and is cheaper. But then sometimes the mimeophon looks so good...

EDIT: Consulted ye oracle of modulargrid, wouldn't fit. Thank glob.

Mimeophon is really fun, you're going to enjoy it. Can't comment on how dirty it can get as I haven't even really pushed it into self-oscillation. But it can get wild when you modulate the zone, freeze, flip, etc. Would recommend to a friend.

Speaking of Make Noise modules, I'm thinking about ordering a QPAS. Has anyone here had experience with it and formed any strong opinions?
I have Three Sisters, Polaris, and a SEM filter currently. I know people were comparing it a lot to Three Sisters a lot when it came out but they seem like drastically different designs to me.

had one, didn't like it, but was mostly turned off by size vs fun of use. buuuuuut i'm not a Make Noise guy? lol. UNHELPFUL OPINION IS UNHELPFUL.

... how fucking AWESOME will it be if after years and years (probably actually a year and half but it FEELS like tens and tens and tens of months) of waiting and drooling and wall piercing erections... it suuuuuuucks?

I AM HITTING REFRESH SO MANY DAMN TIMES.

I took receipt of the Akemie's Castle. Holy fuck it makes weird noises. I cannot really control it yet because my Doepfer A-142-4 Quad Decay is lost somewheres in the mail damn the gods who rule the sky above Perfect Circuit and Ellensburg, WA both.

Manipulating all the FM goo with CV provides digital habitat for aural digistruct hamster. Legendary. Have used it in concert with the Akemie's Taiko and it is like two things of the same ilk who combine as Captain Blanet did on the cartoon. That is to say, Akemie is clearly a superb hero who we must not curse or damn but celebrate.

I'm going to run the Castle through a Doepfer A-103 VCF-6 18 dB Low Pass. One output, anyway. I feel like I'm going to want another filter for the other output at some point. Any thoughts on what a good filter is to use with an FM synth?

I’ve been wondering about the Ocht. It seems like a great idea, but the lack of control scared me off. I’m guessing it’s one of those where you have to appreciate it for what it is. And in your case BEHNDY, acknowledge that it’s not what you need? Idk. Getting philosophical here...

lol. i acknowledge NOTHING.

yeah. it's a cool idea, it's a TON of LFOs in only 4 hp, but it doesn't suit me at all. can't sync, the variation of speeds is a cool idea, but i don't ever want or need a 64 measure long LFO.

not my jam.
