given the incoming administration's love of tariffs, you'd be advised to buy gear that's made overseas now before the price goes way the fuck up. a LOT of stuff--including the preponderance of the consumer electronics my employer sells--is going to go up 50-100%. trying to fuck with China and Russia simultaneously isn't wise (note: i am pro-Ukraine), and fucking with China to suck up to Putin is <adjectives>.

The tariffs will also hit electronic components used in USA-made pedals. Resistors, capacitors, transistors, integrated circuit chips, switches, and jacks are not made here anymore. Hammond-style boxes, too, so you might see some makers try to figure out whether to get a metal break for folded enclosures to deal with prices; that's gonna be weird, trying to project the demand that can pay for the capital expense.
You can already see some companies kissing the ring as a first step to trying to get favorable treatment for their foreign-manufactured products under the regime. <ball of ire and cursing>
