I already have 4 of the modules in there but man that all-in-one sleek look is really appealing to me. I love the form factor and the color scheme. I've got no space to set up my modular near my recording setup in my current place so it's all just sitting around.

If I were to start all over again for whatever reason, I would probably just pick up a System Coupe. Only module in there I don't really understand is the Quaid Megaslope but it seems like it could do some cool stuff.

Hey, the mission was still successful as I sold all of my modular! I don't think semi-modular really fully counts as modular anyways. It only semi-counts. I mean, if it does fully count as modular, then I guess the mission was unsuccessful because I kept the Matriarch
It makes noises with no patch cables, not a modular.

I don't "get" the 0-CTRL but mylarmelodies makes it look cool (as with everything he demos).

I also don't "get" the Subharmonicon but that's not going to stop me from buying one. :)

Lastly, the ALM Coupe is hot sex but I won't buy one. I rock 4 ALM modules every day (both Taikos, a Castle, and Tangle Quartet) and will probably eventually end up with more. For example, I want to try their MUM8 filter, which filter looks sweet.

I know you're not actually looking for an explanation, but I'm going to explain my thoughts on the 0-Ctrl and Subharmonicon anyways :idk:

I basically see the 0-Ctrl as a sequencer that is a combination of two Pressure Points and Brains with a built in envelope generator. I think the main selling point for me is the time parameter per step, the pressure pads, and some of the patching options I've seen highlighted in the videos; seems like a really interesting live tool. I also really like Hainbach's description of the 0-Coast/Ctrl combo as the Make Noise Easel; I feel like that's pretty accurate. That being said, I also realized there's literally no reason for me to buy the 0-Ctrl unless I am also buying a 0-Coast; I already have a lot of sequencer options (Keystep, Keystep Pro, Matriarch, Digitakt, Model:Cycles) and very few things that would work with the 0-Ctrl (literally just Matriarch right now?). So yeah, I guess I'll be waiting on that one until I can afford the pair.

I honestly don't really "get" the Subharmonicon either. All I really know is: Moog oscillators/filter with subharmonics to form chords and a weird sequencer that makes polyrhythms (by also using subharmonics?). But, that's enough for me to know I am almost definitely buying one because is sounds awesome.

I do think that all three (Subharmonicon, 0-Ctrl, and 0-Coast) would make a really fun and interesting setup with a couple pedals :snax:

That sounded really cool. I've always been interested in trying out the Expressive E, but it's way to expensive for me to justify buying just to test out

I have no idea what a subharmonicon is yet but... I kinda want one anyway. I have so much fun with the mother 32 I love this tiny Moog format

pfffffft. i think they're 4 hundy new? PRICE OF A MIDRANGE MODULE YO.

.... i got mines in a trade for a module or two, and am having a blaaaaaasssst with it. it definitely excels under their soft synth, where the mappings are smart and yummy and easy to fiddle with.

using the 4ths of the Push 2 with the left hand and the Touche on the right hand it really feels closer to playing bass than anything else i've done with electro shizz. i LIKE it.

Mylarmelodies' demo of the 0-Ctrl is the only one that made me want it even a little. I'd only be into it with a 0-Coast for the Easel vibes. Every other demo of it seemed to not get how to show off the timing and microtonal aspects IMO.
It seems like a smart move to release something else in that format, I wonder if they'll do any other 0-style things. An effects version would be cool if at all possible.

Subharmonicon seems to have gotten a lot of hype from Moogfest but I'm waiting to see good musical examples. Moog usually doesn't fail on that front so we'll see what release day brings. I'm surprised it leaked so early.

Oh man, I really like the idea of the 0-Coast and 0-Ctrl pair already, but a Make Noise 0-FX would push me over the edge! Especially if it was based around the Morphagene and Mimeophon.

I really should temper my expectations and gas for the Subharmonicon until there are some proper demos. I did really like everything I heard posted of the Moogfest version, but it would be nice to hear it in some more musical context.

EDIT: now that I am thinking along these lines I'll take a Mother 32 sized Moog effects unit too :snax:

I expected this one to be 0-FX based on the teaser clip haha. I was super disappointed when I found out what it is

It was a slightly deceptive move to drench all the teaser clips in reverb/delay.

They'll sell a ton of 0-FX if they ever make one.

Totally agree with both points hahaha.

After they've released this it seems like a logical move if the format continues to be successful so I wouldn't be surprised if it happened in a couple of years.
