annnnd a bud jumped on my Pulsy. woot.
yeah. it sounds SO good. i'm having a weird problem though. we need i send MIDI in it seems to not know to end notes and then the filter freaks out and stays open too. been in contact with then about support, they ran through a few things, can't figure it out so they're saying i might have to send it back but... they won't have any new ones till October. whiiiiich means i have a hole in my synth setuo for 2 or 3 months?
noooooo. i.... i don't like that.

Midi sends a note on message then later it sends a note off message with the same information. So it will send C4 note on velocity 127. Then A5 note on velocity 123. Then you release C4 it sends note off C4. I wonder if you are sending strange note off messages or you are pushing a lot of data through one midi cable or maybe you just never sent the note off messages? What are you using to send note off and how is connected. USB or midi cable?

yeppers. i'm not MIDI MASTAH, but it's a pretty simple, consistent protocol. i understand it decently? but yeah. it sounds like it's not catching a note off. the UGH I'M OVERHWELMED was my first thought, but i've tried just a straight controller into it, just hitting keys, no sequence data?
i've tried the way i want to run it, with MIDI going into Live either from DigiKeys or Push 2 (both over USB), then sent to each device out an Elektron Overhub. i don't have a DIN out on my soundcard, so from the Overhub i have either USB to most devices, or USB to MIDI cables (these guys -
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071KLC884/ ) for the synths that only have DIN in/outs. i've used those USB to MIDI with 3 or 4 DIN only devices without issue. but, just in case, i ran a MIDI cable out the DIN out from Digitone Keys directly to the Ty. same result.
and it totally doessss sound like some interface thing where something is not being read write from an outside control in the Ty, because if hit start on the Ty's sequencer it plays normally, then hitting stop will make it go quiet.
video i sent them of the ACTION -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXXsdfiF5Kg
thats an unlisted vidja, didn't want to spam problems out about their loot, so here's the link if that doesn't work -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXXsdfiF5Kg
also, the pitch scaling when hitting one note? hadn't been doing it before that day.
they said they have no idea, want me to send it to the US distributor, but if it's borked they said they won't have any replacements until next batch, in Octooooberrrr.
i. i don't want to wait that long.

I hope the next owner sends it back. Definitely not your fault if it doesn't work over midi din.

apparently Black Market Modular is the distributor for them, so after exhausting ideas to try (Dreadbox was super professional and helpful, they tried their best to help me. figure out what was going on), Dreadbox had BMM hit me up. i'm sending them this Typhon, he hopes he can get it fixed and back to me within a week'ish. which would be GREAT. thing sounds amazebutts.
when.
you know.
it works.

I found a super rare filter new old stock. I ordered the mobenthey sprott all the way from Berlin new old stock. It has a chaotic core. 4 inputs. Chaos out. It can do screaming resonance or this distortion that sounds like gurgling Listerine. 5 out of 5. Try to find a sprott for sale. The only way to get is to buy the set for $2000. Someone at a store told me Peter doesn't even make them anymore???

Had a Sprott for years, 1 piece. It rules hard and filters hard with the bone piece hob nob. Also got me a Fourses which is the #1 ball bounce sim in module form. It is irregular, though. Anyway, happy patching!

blehhehahshrhhhghh. BMM dooder said the Typhon i sent is working fine. yayyyyyyy.
i would think it's some MIDI looping shitty setup on my part in Live, but running straight out Digiton Keys it was messing up. sooooo. woot intermittent issuessss.
.... ordered a Resonant Garden. kinda want a Dark Interpreter, was looking at different messy noise things, but... it's the Rez Garda i want. so. fuck it.
should i.... should i grab Dark Interpreter while i wait for the Rezzzes? anybody comfy with the differences and want to LEARN me? i'm inclined to grab The Biggest Sistah version. because. you know. DO IT.
ooo! also, apparently my Natural Gate is abouts to ship. NEAT. kinda tempted to just list it. i haven't touched Euro loots for a hinute.

If I was thinking about noise sources things I would look at the new standalone boxes that Error Instruments has been putting out.

Sputnik Radio

Cloudbursting - demo is Eurorack but they have a standalone version.

you might not like the dark interpreter. it sometimes gets stuck on one sound till you interact with it to get it started on something interesting. I never found it to be playable. it was pretty high maintenance.
