Trip 1: Didn't happen, it freaking snowed.
Trip 2, Friday Morning: Initial packing by clerk. Pay for packing. Fill out forms. Realized I was at FedEx but had a PO Box address to ship to. Leave.
Trip 3, Friday Night: Forms filled out with new address. Quote doubles to nearly triple digits. Was told to come back on Monday and the price might go down. Laugh in clerks face. Leave.
Trip 4, Today, 7:00am: Forms filled out, barely awake, enter store. Get quote from Assistant Manager. Quote drops $100 but is still nearly triple digits. Almost have a breakdown. Told to check USPS, UPS, and DHL's quotes. Leave, ripping my hair out. Go back to my car and look up quotes from different providers and get the same number. Tell my wife. She tells me to cut the box down (Fedex had taken a box twice as large as the guitar and made a 'pod' out of it with lots and lots of packing paper around it. Idea sparks.
Trip 5, Today, 7:30am: Storm back into FedEx, tell them 'I'M CUTTING DOWN YOUR PACKAGING AND I BET IT WILL SLASH THE PRICE.' Proceede to take scissors to the box and butcher it, end up shaving 15" off the width of the box and a pound off of the weight. AND use almost an entire roll of their tape.
Trip 6, Today, 8:30am: Storm back to the counter, fill out new forms, and proceed to check out. Cutting off 15" off the width and 1 pound off of the weight saved $325.... FLAWLESS VICTORY

Yeah I had lost hope. But then out of nowhere a guy messaged me on Ebay and asked if I still had it. Not sure if he had seen the ad up on the Obstructures website or Facebook, but that's my bet. I felt so bad that all these crazy things kept happening, but I'm so glad that it should be there by Christmas Eve
