This pedal caught my interest!!
Is this in the Muff territory?
Does it cut through the mix in a band situation?
I’m not really in love with my MP Fire Red Fuzz… would the ECT be a good choice to replace it?
Too many FUZZ... I want to have them all (LOL)... I'm going crazy!!

Woah, see, people always find more tonez than I do once the pedal is on the market. Thats why ILF is great.

Always hard to purchase something without trying it first. Like the FRF was a bad choice for me ( not a bad pedal, but not what I'm looking for).

People seem to really love it, I'd say You go for it since it can be the craziest raunchiest muffin I've heard. Compared to some others, I'd like to point out that with three footswitches its features are actually stage friendly.
I don't have one ATM but You don't have to take my word for it, but I have been following the forumites public opinion closely. tsamurai - a cool dude - has one for sale, check evilBay if it's not on the B/S/T anymore.

I love my ECT because it is not your normal pedal. I seems like I can get a lot of different sounds out of it depending on the day. It loves my ASAT pick up system and I can get different brutal tones out of it.
It is loud, ripping and nasty. Also you can get even crazier tones when combined with other fuzzes.

Thanks FuzzMax, I got your PM. I know about Moog Audio... but it's a 3 hours drive (hey hey).
Right now, I'm thorn between FuzzHugger "Algal Bloom", FuzzHugger "Great Wall", 3Xfx "Fatman" and the Eau Claire Thunder to replace my Mad Professor "Fire Red Fuzz".
I'm not sure what it is with the FRF, but it does not sound alive to my ears.
I'm trying to keep 8 pedals or less on my boards... not easy!!

Resistence is futile.

8 pedal boards are fine. As long as you have a drawer/shelf overflowing with "sometimes" pedals.

Well, here's an album full of ECThunder tones.
http://theronaldraygun.bandcamp.com/All the guitar and bass dirt is ECthunder except maybe the mandolin solo at the end of "The Crow"... that is ECThunder AND shiva, IIRC.
