Clear overdrive pedal??

Hey there everyone. I apologize in advance if a similar question has already been asked a dozen times. I can not find a decent overdrive/fuzz pedal!! The Devi Ever pedal I have is fucking awesome for some stuff :haha: , but most of the other pedals I've tried and owned can't really match up to the tone and clarity I want. Many have come close, don't get me wrong. It's not as complicated as it sounds, but I'm hoping some of you can point me in the right direction. I'm a fan of My Bloody Valentine and the Smashing Pumpkins, to sum it up in just a few names. The music I play uses somewhat complex chords that don't exactly shine through in some of the pedals I've owned/own. Things just get muddy and noisy sounding, the bigger the chord (unless it's a power chord or something) :idk: . I'm looking for the chord DENSITY and CLARITY in songs like "Mayonaise" by the Smashing Pumpkins, or "Soon" by My Bloody Valentine  . And I AM aware that Billy Corgan achieved those tones with layers upon layers of guitar tracks, but there has to be a pedal that catches something at least a little similar! Good punchy gain and bottom end, but not TOO heavy. I'm alright with a pedal that can achieve some of the harsh tones of My Bloody Valentine, but mostly I'm looking for clarity no matter how dynamic the chords are. I own a Devi Ever Aenima, EH American Big Muff, Proco Rat 2 (w/ Ruetz mod), Boss HM-2, Boss Blues Driver, and a few others....Anyways, any ideas? Thank you so much!

I know that a clear overdrive is the Holy Grail to a lot of people... me, I likes 'em fuzzy and noisy. BUT here are a couple of units I've heard good stuff about:

http://www.fuzzhugger.com/pedal-jb-dist.html - supposed to remain really clean & tight note-wise no matter how distorted you take it.

http://www.klon-siberia.com/overview.html - I believe that the guitar player from Karate used one of these, and he had some pretty nice, clear yet saturated tone going on...

lots of makers have tried to reach the middle ground between Fuzz and OD. Devi has done it.

It does actually. Really good treble response when I do that, just lots of buzzing and no gain control :(

the aenima does have a gain control, it's called the volume knob on your guitar ;)

it cleans up REAL nicely if you have never tried it. i made a video demonstrating this....just, uh, never got around to uploading it...
