Do you have any other acoustics? How many electrics? If you don't play the Taylor much and have another acoustic, go for it. Seems like a really fair deal for both of you.

Well the Taylor use to be my main guitar but I have since inherited a 60's Gibson acoustic that sounds better to me, the Taylor sounds awesome but the Gibson is way deeper which I like. I have a couple electrics but the only one I quite literally didn't salvage from the trash is my les Paul I refinished. I have been wanting either a marr jag or autumnglo ric 480. The HH jag has been in 3rd place for awhile, and it would become my main player so I think it makes good sense.

I definitely need a good playing electric and this would take a little bit of the pressure off getting the $1500 I would need for the other 2

yeah if it isn't your main acoustic then I would do it, I play alot of acoustic and if I could unload my 2nd acoustic for a potential number one electric I think I would jump on it

Ok ok guys I didn't do it.... I took my taylor and some old unused amps that were in my closet up to my local shop to trade in for my down payment on a marr jag. I realized that even if I got the special, I would still look at the Fender marr page each day I have as my home page. 40 more days.

I think you made the right choice. Now I'm jealous.

wise deal. my marr jag makes everything sound better and is the coolest guitar i've ever owned. a prime example of getting what you pay for.

You made the right call.

The Jag HH Specials are the lowest priced of any of the Jags and hardest to sell IMO - GC has them on the used site all the time for $450-499, before haggling.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind buckers in a Jag but I'd rather have a Classic Player HH with the actual trem.

A Jag without a trem isn't a Jag IMO.

And a Jag without the *right* trem isn't either.

Thanks guys! I got it for a couple hundred less than retail, which I'm sure is standard when ordering from shops and such.

The Jag HH special is rad, in a Darth Vader kind of way, but like you said rfurtkamp, it's not exactly what I would consider a Jag, I realized it would probably be very similar to my LP with the humbuckers and bridge config.

The positive/negative is it will be about 40 days (which apparently is the wait on these to ship) but that also gives me enough time to recoup some money so it doesn't totally obliterate my bank account.

Now it's time to sell shit like a mofo.

If you have other acoustics and really want this guitar, yes. If that is your only acoustic and this guitar isn't on your list of must haves, fuck it.
