iPad Mini 2. Good enough?

I really wanna get an iPad for sything and for recording demos and whatnot. I don't really plan on using it for much else, I might use it for video and photo stuff too, but more sparingly. The only DAW related stuff I've messed around with much is Audacity, so I don't have obscene expectations or anything. I know I'll need an interface for audio and midi, probably a keyboard, but I know I can use the internal mic and strictly apps while getting started.
I'm thinking the 32gb iPad Mini 2, because it's in my budget. Is there anything I should worry about? Any reason I NEED to go for one of the fancier ones? Anything I need to know going into it? Anyone else doing this have some tips?

I've got a first gen Mini 16gb and it seems fine, though I'm not trying to max audiobus chains or tracking a full album in Auria. The extra gb would be nice--it's the only thing I really wish mine had more of consistently. I'm not finding screen size limiting except for the Korg iMS-20 app being a bit crammed in. The Mini 2 should future-proof you a tiny bit whenever they build the OS to use the 64 bit cpu chip.

I got the Mini 2 instead of the 3 on black friday. Haven't done any recording, at least not from exterior sources, but it's but fine, fun, and all around killer for noisy synth fun.
Personal recommendation side note - don't buy any Zagg accessories. They, products and customer service, blow goats. Not in a good way.

I got my wife an iPad mini two a while ago and fucked around with it all the time, had animoog and some propellerhead apps on there, ran it straight into the octatrack with magnificent results.
i used it to do some found sound capturing shit and that also came out pretty decent, ipad garageband isn't great but it doesn't suck either.
I splurged and got myself the ipad mini 3 with a shitload of memory and now I rarely wear pants.
i feel strongly that when it comes to computer technology, get the best that you can afford, because that shit is already obsolete. save some pennies, maybe help an old lady to her car and see if you can swing that new new.

The mini 2 is great, the features they added for the 3 aren't worth the cost difference. I think you'll dig it.
