Cute interview with the man himself

Read this the other day, thought I'd share:

http://coastsonic.com/blogs/news/368248 ... tom-dalton

Also:

Top 5 favorite pedals you’ve made but never released:
The AB-Synth: Thujone Extract. The idea was to make the AB-Synth more extreme (a difficult task!), with a momentary-switchable noise mode and the ability to feed random computery bleeps into the noise mode. I built two by special order, but it was never released as planned. Maybe later this year it'll get a slight revision and a second chance...

I've got something unique! :!!!: That envelope filter sounds neat as well.

It would be awesome if Tom made pickups.

Awh, guys. I tried to make it interesting. Top-fives list is a hard format. Plus I'm always, "sure, I love interviews!" and then get all self-conscious.
I agonized over it for days, and when I was done, Scruffie pointed out that I could've just made shit up and been done.

:) It'd be fun!
I've daydreamed a lot about it...but I wouldn't want to wind up some standardish pickups just to do it. I'd be building them on PCB bases and using some custom stamped & milled parts, which ups startup and production costs. A fairly big investment for an uncertain return/demand, and I need to admit I don't have the time or funds. I think it's best I stay full-steam on FuzzHugger and Tidal Waveforms.

It's much more likely I get into a little amplification.

Maybe at ILFNEM, but now I have performance anxiety...shockingly, this is not something I practice often.

That...is a good idea!
I've been playing with it a long time, plus hesitating on the name (sure, P&W was probably already out, unless called on to simulate the sounds of Hell for a special Sunday service...but fuck apparently offends some people still. Though I'm pretty sure on a Venn diagram, there'd be no overlap between people offended by the word "fuck" and people who want to make the sounds this pedal makes). It's a very...ILFey pedal.
