Hello!

Hi All!

I'm John, and I am the owner and designer for Electronic Audio Experiments, a tiny music electronics company located in Boston, MA. I have a background in physics and EE and in winter of 2015 started putting it to use by making new and original guitar pedals. Since then I've done a slew of one offs and production batches. EAE is slowly growing and I'm having fun figuring it all out.

I was a lurker on ILF for a looooong time but I ended up becoming less active a few years ago. Suddenly I got a lot of google alerts from you folks and it turns out I have a small following which is super rad. It only made sense to set up a Shark Tank, so here we are! (Thank you Tom!)

I'll probably have this thread be open discussion and Q&A and do separate announcements in other threads. I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone!

I didn't realize EAE started in 2015.
I thought that I was just out of the loop since I hadn't lurked Tumblr/Korey's youtube before then.

Yup, it's a baby company. I started using the moniker in 2014 but those were all just vero board clones for friends. I count the release of the first batch of Longswords as the true beginning. That was just about a year ago actually.

Also to celebrate the shark tank launch and all that good stuff, I'm giving you guys early dibs on some batches of pedals Haven't posted this publicly yet, it's just been sent out to my mailing list. https://reverb.com/shop/electronicaudioexperiments

Batch sizes and frequency will be going up once I get some things sorted out. I just brought on another builder and it's been a huge help but we're taking our time.

Welcome!

Any demos of the Model feT, the Beholder, or that resonant fuzz prototype you have on reverb?

Thanks!

Korey did a model fet demo here:

I have short videos on my instagram (@electronicaudioexperiments) of the other two but both are WIP versions of the circuits. The Beholder is being updated with some extra controls so it's not finalized yet. When it's ready, I'll bribe Korey to make me a proper video. I can make another little video showcasing the Resonant Fuzz as that one won't be going to production.

:thumb: Amp needs to be louder. Sounds great though. Dig those filter-y sounds! :!!!:

(Take that "s" away and put the rest of the address in the youtube tags and you're good to embed.)

Thank you! And yeah, I probably could crank it for a bit until my neighbors come and kill me :)* I had some free time today so I've been working on this one and another finicky V4, much to the chagrin of everyone in a half mile radius... I should do my videos at my rehearsal space, but I never seem to have free time to just roll up and test all my prototypes at high volumes. So it goes.

On that point, I will hopefully be doing a tourbox in a couple months. Just trying to figure out how to run it and all.
