Anti-nautilus is still my celebrity fantasy lover in pedal form.
My recollection is that it was a hobby for him, and then it got too stressful given how many people wanted them.

Dude doesn't sell to anyone hardly. I'd almost rather his stuff never be posted here. No offense, but it's not obtainable so why talk about it?

K. Well, he refuses to do any runs for anyone so it's a unicorn which is not usable. I mean, feel free to talk about it, I just think it's obnoxious. I refuse to hunt endlessly for something that will never be made in a quantity that makes sense.jrfox92 wrote:Because the dude's a long time ILFer and his work seems to be pretty solid when he does sell?Jesus Was a Robot wrote:why talk about it?

Where? I follow him and the last thing I see posted was from 2015. Unless you're talking about this personal Facebook.whoismarykelly wrote:He's posted two modular devices he's built recently on facebook.
He hasn't been on here since August, his blog hasn't been updated in a year.
I mean, I get the want, but at what point do you just give up on a builder.
I'd rather focus on dudes that actually sell stuff personally.

I just don't get why this topic continues to come up. It's clear that he's not interested in selling like a normal builder, so why not look at other stuff? That's what I'm saying.

i think he's just a very talented/creative dude who is into DIY and creating tools for himself. then some people wanted them so he sold some stuff and then probably decided that path was not one he wanted to pursue since he has a day job he likes and enjoys building/engineering/etc for personal enjoyment.
maybe?

Yeah, that's what I understood too. Very nice guy too, from the few interactions I had with him in threads around here.smallsnd/bigsnd wrote:i think he's just a very talented/creative dude who is into DIY and creating tools for himself. then some people wanted them so he sold some stuff and then probably decided that path was not one he wanted to pursue since he has a day job he likes and enjoys building/engineering/etc for personal enjoyment.maybe?
Not everything that people make is a product. There is a lot of value in sharing about things you make even if it's not something people can buy.

Gonna say the same thing at oscillateur and Brian here. Dude just liked making cool stuff that people were (obviously) interested in. He didn't like making things for others though so he didn't.
Loved seeing what he came up with though, those vibrato shapes he had going were really cool.
