Oxide "versions"

Post by Lebowsky »

Hi there,

it seems there is / was (was is discontinued?) two versions of the Oxide, one with side jacks and one with top jacks. Was there any difference in the circuit over the years, or was it only a design change?

Thanks:)

Kind of complicated - the top jack layout was sort of a custom option from the very beginning when the pedal originally came out. Then in the later years I only ever built the top jack version.

Separate from the layout, there were some minor tweaks to the circuit in the first few years it was available. This was just in response to feedback from users regarding output volume and high frequency content. So, a couple of the earliest ones might be a little quiet or crazy loud before I found the sweet spot that works for everybody's instruments and settings. No changes were made from about 2012 onward.
