so, yeah, that is where my screen-name comes from (i had a helluva phase)
still love the mando family in all it's guises and locales..i'm makin' a mahoosive yt playlist and i'm already sky high on track count, but i'm always open to new double-cours'd stuff
so if ya feel like it post something in here...
pics/GAS items/mando gear/interviews - anything mando-related welcome in here (maybe here is not the best spot for this, but, oh well)
this way i don't have to gum up more generalist threads
yes. yes i am. going to bowdlerize my own thread. i am interested in the mando-adjacent too, and tres def counts. puerto rican cuatro too. but not venezuelan cuatro (even though i may like it a little bit more as an instrument). that is ukulele adjacent and belongs in the duke's uke jukejoint thread. i may accept the 8-string ukulele in this thread, depending on how it's played. charango probs. gittern, mandriola, mandolinetto, yass. cittern, maybe? bouzouki - erm, i guess. for both of them, the irish variety is more likely to be a yes. balalaika, no. bandola llanera, no. bandola oriental, si. plain bandola, si. bandurria, si. tiple, si. i guess that gives enough of a flavor...
