Another year, another chance to travel to Oslo, Norway to jam and chill out with fellow fuzzheads!

Usual activities include:
- Sitting around at a café, restaurant or bar and talking shit
- Intake of coffee and alcohol evenly throughout the day and night
- Jamming (usually pretty heavy, but sometimes weird and if you're lucky....ambient!)
- "Quiet" time for testing out pedals
- Good food ("Great food, but the portions are too small" - Vidret, from 2016 to present day)

i wish. sadly, flying to the EU is much too dear for my budget when i'm still ekeing out weirdo guitar projects.

The good news, for the pedants, is that (despite the name of the event) Norway isn't actually in the EU.
The bad news is that it definitely isn't a cheap trip from the US, even with the NOK being significantly weaker these days.

the logistics would be difficult to surmount. i’m quite sure that putting the pedalboards (in hard cases!) in an airplane’s luggage hold would be expensive and unsafe. bringing the Normie Board would work because it’d work as a carry-on, but i don’t know if any of my guitars would be OK and carrying an amp would be right out.

We usually have way too much gear, so I don't think it would be necessary to bring guit and amp. A handful of pedals securely packed in a suitcase or something would be more than fine.

when i flew to Chicago once for a visit i mailed my Blueridge J-45 (sadly sold off) to the nearest UPS office and sent it back the same way, packed in its hard case inside a padded carton. of course, sending a guitar that way would probably cost $300 one way.

Dang! I've got too much wedding stuff going on this year to attend (officially it's done but there are going to be two receptions).
