Thanks!
The 370 was just a random right place at the right time. Always wanted one, and even more after touring with my buddy's band The Helm, since their bassist uses one. I knew what they sounded like and yet I plugged in when I got it to my jam spot and my mouth dropped. Such a good little solid state. Loud and punchy and just rad. Plus it sounded great with this little DOD bass grunge pedal we have.
The Laney SG is just an amp on an entire other level. Honestly, it's not often that I find two amps on the same day that literally impress the hell out of me. This Laney sounds like everything I want from an amp. And this is coming from a guy that has a Model T, sound city, v4, sovtek, traynor, Verellen, etc. There's not much that I plug into now days that impresses me because I'll just compare it to my Sound City or Mode T, and well those will most likely win. However, I think this Laney sits above the Model T, and honestly it's just about right there with my Sound City, which is the best amp I've ever played/had. Coincidence they share the same transformers? Idk. But it's fucking crazy how good this Laney sounds. I have no clue why the kid I got it from would want to get rid of it, or why anyone would want to get rid of it. I traded it for my sunn 2000s which was getting absolutely no use since it didn't sound as good on guitar, nor better than my SVT on bass. So it was just sitting not getting played. Plus I got that 2000s trading a bass I got for $500.
Anyways, I'm just rambling and excited. Sorry to write so much. Good distractions are what I need and this place helps out. Thanks guys! <3333333

Yeah man, nice score!

I love those acoustics on bass! I have a 220 and like the growl and punch verrry much!

But, those old Laneys.... shiii-hiiiit, I have a Laney KLIPP from which the clean channel should be the same as the supergroup.... Never played a better amp for my taste: there is crunch, there is headroom, there are bells and harmonics, there is volume, there is sex.

Congrats!

It's a Saturn.
Eastwood have a reproduction of this model.

That is a Eastwood Saturn 63, but with the pickups from a 1963 Hopf / Klira Saturn 63. The Hopf did not have a Jazzy tremolo but a rather eurotrashy one way wobbulator.

Hey, thanks! I'm beyond stoked on the Laney. I think I mentioned it already but it's almost all I've wanted out of a driven amp. I've always wanted an old plexi or early superbass/lead. My model t never really hit the raunchy mids I wanted like an old superlead. And an actual Marshall is just out of my league/price range right now. So this Laney is filling that void plus adding more. The crunch and mids are gnarly and it sounds so ballsy and hairy. I think my initial plan is to run this out of a 4x12, above my Sound City 100 into another 412 below it. Once I get my sound city to stop burning up every time I turn it on ><

Also, the 370 is a fucking beast of a solid state amp. Fuck, I'm stoked. You guys rule.

I use a 370 as my main amp, and that thing + TAFM out of a 215 will tear the world in half. So glad I found one cheap that only needed a cheap fix.

80's peavey butcher
been jamming this for about a month and it's a keeper. boosting the high gain input with an lpb-1 gives me just the right gain for what i'm doing. i'm looking around for some of that expanded metal like they put on the back to make a face plate for it, but it looks pretty gnarly as is. i've been trying different cabs with it and ended up here. had an old peavey 412 but it made this weird trebly resonance. tried a randall 2x12+1x15 and the eminence legends sounded nice and fat but the cab itself sounded like it would vibrate to pieces. this little fender ge-412 is the winner so far. plus it's weighs less than the head
