Not that I'd use it much but I kinda want one of those SEMs. I've played a couple before and they sound ace. Almost like the stereotypical analog synth sound, and I mean that as a compliment.

I didn't try the boomstar, but judging from videos online the filter isn't exactly the same thickness.
Sweeping the filter on the SEM is so rewarding and delicious sounding.
It's THE analog mono synth sound along with the Voyager.

I was just curious if you'd tried one and still chose the Oberhiem. I love the Boomstars, but have always felt with the SEM, for about the same money, why not go with the real deal. Hope you enjoy yours.

I'm just going to quote this because I think more people would read it and get use out here rather than the whatever thread.

All Volca Keys people: let the sequencer run with record active in poly mode, and record a bunch of drone notes, more than 3, then switch to a different pitch mode and start fucking with the envelope setting and the active steps.
There are so many glorious sounds you can conjure up that way.

I'm looking for a small 25/37/49 mini key keyboard, preferably with a sequencer or record/playback built in. I want it to be small enough to just put on your lap or in a backpack. Any suggestions?

I was thinking something polyphonic and cheaper. I'd love to get an op-1 but I'm thinking something way cheaper. Like a yamaha PS-400 but with a sequencer

Here's a better look at YEP, controlling a whole patch, and at the Bitrazer as a voice (I'll get some proper clips of the bitcrushing effects some other time). Yep is triggering 2 noise drum voices in each Roland module, and clocking Brains/Pressure Points, which is playing the Bitrazer's resonant filter.

Yo, unfortunately no clips. I just recently fired up an old PC with Linux so I haven't gotten around to digitizing tapes/recording yet. Used a PS3 as a 'computer' for a few years, so I'm a bit behind in that regard... will have to try setting up a soundcloud or smth soon.

My Yamaha Electone in my living room.
Get it for free. Fun to play and sounds cool with pedals.
