I found that being a condescending dick helps with writing papers.
Doing stupid "literary" devices is another good way to keep yourself entertained; throw in some allegories and alliterations and shit.

Yeah, sorry to hear about that too. Thai labor will beat American labor almost every time.

(To be fair, the immense popularity of that dish wasn't totally Paul Prudomme's fault. And they were just using that as an example to illustrate how influential his cooking was. I doubt he wants to be remembered as the person almost single-handedly responsible for the near extinction of a fish though. )

Well, actually he is sourcing the stuff from tiles from China and glazing them here...so not that much different? Apparently that Thai place is super craftsman-y or something (encaustic concrete tile is only made in like 7 places in the world...and I think Thailand has two of the factories...Morocco has 1, Mexico 2, and Nicaragua 2). Something like that...even though it is an american copy of older tile...i dunno. But this tile comes from one of those factories and they only deal certain ways and with the locals...so we already contracted a guy through our tile guy to even get that order. Luckily we still aren't out any money.

Haha, yea, if you were in California that is a ton of what we have. What we called houses are called bungalows elsewhere, haha. Tons of craftsman and spanish style. But most of the spanish style is like a rebranded craftsman on the insides (for the most part) here in LA. We have a spanish style...which we are making less craftsman and more spanish *.
