I find the opposite on the Ottobit Jr. It can be too loud with my setup and the Merc7 too quiet. Odd. LOL

OH! There's also a dead spot in the sweep for the Merc7 with the blend. It cuts the signal completely when sweeping to the full toe down position. It's where I'm almost all the way toe down. Now I'm using a EV5, which is a 10K pot and I haven't checked if it requires something else. So take that with a grain of salt.

If to turn mix all the way up it cuts the dry (which makes it sound more quiet), so just don't turn the knob all the way up when you set up the sweep range for the expression pedal.

What if I want it to go 100% wet though? That stinks.

Yea but my Eventide H9 can go full wet with a sweep and doesn't have a cutoff. I don't understand why this one does?

I demand perfection goddamn it!!!

hahaha

It's cool. Just one of those quirks. I thought maybe a software update could fix it?

Yeah, I like the Merc7 pretty much all the way wet but like pretty much all reverbs nearly 100% wet, there's a volume drop. Thus why it would be nice to have a master volume.

Also, on mine, on the mix knob, there does seem to be something similar to turning the knob for hot water in a shower. It gets to a certain point and I hear straight guitar with reverb. Turn it past that point, it's all reverb. :idk:

Just got the Ottobit a few days ago and having a blast.
Wondering if anyone else is having issues with the bit crusher.
I get almost no reaction when turning it from 5pm (full off) to around 12pm and then it makes a big jump anywhere past 12pm and doubles or triples in volume.
Makes it a bit unstable for any live use.
Other than that, It's very cool indeed.

Yeah, mine is the same. Also I get a little bit of a volume drop with the sample rate all the way down, which is a shame as it's a nice useable fuzz otherwise.

For me the sweep of the bits control is really bunched up between 11:00 and 12:00. I'd almost prefer that area was most of the sweep of the pedal.

I'm switching presets with a DMC3XL and its cool but it seems like the Ottobit doesn't load a preset just because the DMC3 is on that preset. I have to activate the preset with the DMC3 and that means holding the switch and waiting a second. Kinda kills the dynamics of playing a bit. Is anyone using MIDI and getting better results?

My Ottobit top row knob ranges are all off too. Really fighting the volume drops. No real boosting. Mine is probably going to leave me.

I was interested in the Mercury7 until the volume drop was mentioned for that too.

These quirks can be annoying for sure but overall, I'm still loving this pedal.
I'm guessing/hoping that these small problems can be worked out with firmware updates.
If someone from Merris could chime in, that would go a long way.

If we could have just not talked about dicks and pedophilia or whatever for one thread I'm sure they would. Small businesses love when their SEO results link to a discussion about Jesus Was A Robot and his boner.
