This thread has taken a steep turn off "cool gear" and into nerdcore. And I like it.

Here's my current setup. Just got done moving to a PT-PRO for my main board. This is pretty much done for the time being aside from adding some side plates with input/output and power mounted on them (had them made from an old home-made board) Pretty happy with this so far!

Thanks! It's a Conklin Groove Tools GT-7. Not a fancy custom or anything but it definitely gets the job done.

I used to have the blonde one of those 7s. Was like a giant 7-string guitar. Great for tap, less for slap, cool on chords. I'd like one of their guitars but there isn't a Groove Tools version afaik and the customs are major ducat.

They made a Groove Tools 7 string guitar that was pretty alright and then they also have a slightly more affordable line of guitars that are still around $2000 IIRC.

Bit of a swap around to fit the new doom bloom before band practice tomorrow.

I did some tinkering with this signal chain combo yesterday, and the results seemed suitable for the intro or outro of a song ... or maybe a freakout before a something-or-another-core breakdown.

One issue to consider before investing in an EHX 9 series pedal would be their propensity to intermittently fail to boot properly. There's a fairly-well-documented issue related to them not receiving enough power at startup, not passing sound when first engaged, and having to be power cycled one or more times to operate corectly. Both my Synth9 and Mel9 did this earlier today, and I use the stock power supplies. If I were in a band, there would be different synth options on my board.

That doom bloom sounded pretty awesome on the interwebs! What do you think of it so far?

To everyone asking about the bloom, I love it so so much. Really tweakable in an interesting way in that the controls are cooler and more interactive than many fuzz pedals. Heavy, light, just as amazing with chords as the algal but with waaaaay more range.

How do you use the elements with the bloom (lo gain or high gain)? Do they stack well?

If that is The Elements I think it is it can't go into high gain.
